  1. PCA has posted his response:
  2. Ah, Wednesday is a day game. I just got a ticket for tmr's game instead. Section 140 row 9. Right at the edge of visiting dugout down there. Ticket was 60 and had a promo code for 10 off, not bad at all. I got the T-Mobile lounge access for cheap drinks too.
  3. Very done with the west coast games.
  4. I did the same thing as @DoUEvenShift did, but just had the photo adapted into the style of Rockwell first.
  5. Point of emphasis this season for umpires is supposed to be not rewarding baserunners who try to initiate an obstruction call which to me the baserunner clearly did
  6. Well seems to be a huge factor of the team bonding and having as much fun as they are.
  7. You mean Steve Stone will have to actually start working full-time again?
  8. Luckily, so are the Sox after this trip.
  9. She did nothing wrong. She's a fan. PCA does "suck." She was clearly posting that she was "just enjoying her engagement party" with a nod and a wink to the fact that she was visibly giving it to PCA. It was on TV and she had undoubtedly heard from her friends that millions of people watched the whole thing by the time she posted. She wasn't trying to hide anything. Unpopular take nowadays, but I think heckling is an increasingly lost art form and that the decline in fan heckling of opposing players is a shame. The creative outfield heckling I used to hear as a kid was a factor of ten more intense than anything I hear these days. It was also just tremendously entertaining, you rarely hear it now, and way too many fans seem anxious to (to use the term from above) "white knight" for these guys who could care less about them rather than enjoy the wit of their fellow fans on a day at the ballpark. These guys get paid millions to play a child's game and they are just going to have to deal with a lady making fun of them when they blow a catch. Yes, there are varying degrees of quality in heckling, and some heckling (aimed at kids, family, race, etc.) is out of line. But this is a story about modern players going soft, not modern fans going wrong.
  10. 21st Century Norman Rockwell painting.
  11. He spun around 4 times. Should he have caught it? No. Was it a terrible route showing his lack of skills out there? Yes.
  12. Encouraging outing for Schultz, ump nonsense aside. 0 walks is very good to see.
  13. My feeling about the obstruction is that obviously Sam should be more mindful, but also the baserunner clearly took a wide turn as well as a last second sidestep to initiate contact. In the spring, MLB told umpires to call runners out if the runner appears to be trying to bait an obstruction call.
  14. He's pitching wells. The tools are there for him once he matures a bit as a pitcher
  15. Gameday 3D view of the obstruction play. I left Arozarena's turn in there so you can see what a normal baseline looks like. StreamableWatch obstruction | Streamable
  16. And the fact the 3b coach waved him as soon as that interference call was made makes me 100% believe that’s a play in the Mariners’ bag of tricks.
  17. He was in the direct path of the runner. Not sure how we can argue against the call. All in on giving home being bs though.
  18. Whole inning was awkward commentary. Sorry guys, opposing fans aren’t buying tickets because of Vargas.
  19. We all expected him to try for a double, right?
  20. I've grown to accept that the goal of ABS isn't purely to make the calls perfect, but rather to add another skill that can differentiate the players and teams. I do wish there were one or two more challenges per team though so guys could let it rip more often.
  21. f*** that p**** s%*# you're drinking a bud light
  22. Sent him an email three days ago with a chisox wand shirt design 😆
  23. Not perfect but from chat gpt
  24. Well, Pete Crow-Armstrong IS a total d-bag. But, I do have to admit there are moments like this that re-energize the crosstown series and end up living in Sox lore. Just like Barrett punching AJ or the Wrigley fans throwing garbage on the field after AJ's 9th inning HR. That is good for the game as I think the crosstown series can grow stale. As we learned when other players rallied to TA's defense over his bat flips, MLB should be encouraging players showing emotion and celebrating as long as it doesn't cross the line to taunting the other team. That being said, I don't know if players who have a reputation for showboating should be so thin skinned that they have to call a heckling fan (reportedly) a f***ing b***h.
  25. As her future husband, I will beat the living s%*# out of PCA and defend her to the death!
  26. I’m of the mind that if you walk someone off, especially with a homer, do whatever the hell you want as long as you’re not making contact with the opponent. That’s my line in the sand. No physical contact with the other team. Bat flip the fucking thing over the moon, run around the bases on your hands…matters not to me. Enjoy the moment. The game is hard and life is fun. I choose to live by joy!
  27. I'm not even sure what set me off on that one. Romo and Quero are mediocre.
  28. Just think if we couldn’t make fun of players. That would be a month of good jokes about Reese McGuire eliminated. And if he actually read this board, he would have probably been shamed into never publicly masturbating again. The board was actually looking out for the rest of humanity.
  29. Might be a boomer take but i have no problem with PCA giving it back. They were heckling him the whole game and even admitted to planning it: "“Our goal the entire time we planned this was we knew PCA was in center field and we’re like, ‘We’re going to heckle him at some point,'” The lady wasn't even offended by it. Just a bunch of white knights on the internet
  30. Man, Roger Bossard has that field looking pristine
  31. Seems like we should be able to hover around .500, which should be enough to keep things interesting.
  32. Welp we had better fire all of those non-baseball people commentating on baseball games like John Schiffren, Len Kasper, Jason Benetti, etc, after all they never played the game professionally, what do they know?
  33. I don’t think Teel catching a spike requires a fall guy. Berroa not really sure what the details are. Hays was definitely rushed back and it bit them.
  34. BA has a new top 30 out for all organizations. Shelton is a notable riser going from unranked entirely to number 11. They call him out in the 10 notable rising prospects list amongst all clubs. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/10-notable-risers-from-may-2026-top-30-prospects-updates/ Here's his scouting report on the top 30 list. They note a possibility of a corner OF future which would be nice with the absolute glut of infielders this organization has stumbled into.

    Whats Clevinger up to?
  36. We need a better closer than Dominguez if we want to contend.
  37. sorry i'm really shitty at youtube and drunk but i know what ur goin for.

We’re in a weird spot with adding in my opinion. The odds of acquiring a good, young, cost controlled SP are very low, and I’m still not interested in trading any meaningful prospects for a “solid vet type”. We aren’t competing for a World Series. I don’t hate the idea of trading Gonzo (+?) for a young “failed”/struggling former top prospect SP though. No idea who that would be though
  39. If Jason came back, he'd probably bring back that damn jingle....so I'll take Schiffren.
  40. If you don't absolutely love this team, you ain't a White Sox fan. This team has absolutely no quit in it!
  41. Exactly. They are exceeding expectations right now which is great, but there's a whole lot of baseball left. Even if they are still hovering around a WC spot in July I don't want them to be buyers because that means you're taking assets away from what you've been trying to build the last 3 years. Let these guys play and continue to keep progressing forward but stay the course. We want this team to be competitive for years, not just this year.
