  1. Dude is a 4 WAR 3B who is one of our better hitters against RHP when healthy. Those don't exactly grow on trees. If he is hitting better against LHP I agree this suggests oblique is still an issue. He's very valuable to this team. I think and hope he will be back to normal next year (ie at least Hugh OBP and good D). If he's still struggling by mid 2023 Montgomery will be waiting in the wings.
  2. Nice! He should be promoted to AA before the end of the season.
  3. I think its becoming increasingly clear that fangraphs having his game power FV at 55 is too low. This guy is at least 60 and maybe 65 in game power after he made that adjustment and his wrist healed. 6 HR in 14 games in AA is crazy. There's like 38 more AA games this year, if he plays in 30 of them, while I don't expect 15 more HRs, but he could definitely hit 10 more, that would be 16 HRs in about 44 games which is very impressive and 23 on the year as a whole when he missed time and had wrist issues is a very good year. Dude has mega power and is a RHP killer savage. He is the RF in Chicago next year. You move Vaughn for Chisholm and put Jimenez at DH full time and maybe add Conforto on the cheap in LF on a prove it deal, you've got a lineup suddenly full of left handed savages.
  4. That's what savages do.
  5. You're right. Cleveland can still win this division.
  6. I would be ok with them getting Rodon if a) it cost alot and b) his shoulder imploded shortly after the transaction.
  7. RH DH....because we have a huge dearth of those in the lineup right?
  8. Tony doesn't have "influence".....he is in total control. It's no surprise Hahn was talking about LHHs and SPs and we ended up going with Tony's relievers. He has all the juice and we maxed out on his priorities. Now JR might be seeing he bet on the wrong horse but at this point we're close to maxed out I bet and they can all see that it's not going to make a difference anyway even if they get to (early) October so what's the point?
  9. Wow...a team that's actually trying to win. I forgot what that looks like.
  10. With Seby playing better, looks like they told McGuire to Beat It.
  11. Ugh...some of the proposed trades for Happ mentioned earlier were awful. Hope not
  12. Good. No big trades. If they drown, they drown. IDGAF.
  13. If JA isn't going anywhere then Vaughn has to be going somewhere.
  14. I think if you added him at 2B and with Colas likely to come up early next year in RF, you've added alot of LH savagery to the lineup. And with Montgomery progressing, you give Moncada reason to up his game at 3B because there would be someone pushing him relatively soon (2024).
  15. Weren't there rumors earlier of a Sox Marlins Chisholm trade because the marlins didnt like his attitude or off field stuff? Based on the value chart, it would be almost identical if we got him for Vaughn, Ramos and Burger. I know he's out another 5 weeks but he could be ready for September and it's more of a long term thing. I dont want to trade Vaughn but Harold and others keep bringing him up in trade possibilities in the last year or so and a LH 2B with power and defense under long term cost control is harder to find than a very good RH 1B.
  16. I know what savagery looks like. This isn't it.
  17. Isn't there also high variation year to year in relievers? So why would we spend big money on multi-year deals for multiple relievers? I mean besides the fact that TLR wanted to get into DeLorean and head back to 1989 baseball?
  18. Lulz @ getting 1 hit by a scrub pitcher and a AAAA team. I'm glad we're "buying" though as one RP and one platoon bat will surely allow us to overcome all the elite clubs in the league.
  19. TLR wanted those guys and he outranks the FO.
  20. At this point all I am asking is don't trade the young savages. I've given up on the thought of a legitimate window because it's a pipe dream.
