  1. I watch most spring training games on the MLB Network on YouTube tv, but since they dropped that app, I no longer have access to that channel . they have games almost every day, and I call this really bad timing, right before spring training games start . I still have mlb.com, but I enjoyed the games on the MLB Network.
  2. I just wonder if they are going to use all of the time saved, by speeding up the game so much, by adding more commercial time in between innings.
  3. It seems that everything is geared up for offense . I imagine that the pitchers are none too happy about this, but what can they do.
  4. Baseball is the only sport that I still truly love . hockey was everything in the 60's, football in the 80's, Basketball in the 90's . almost against my will, and something that I never thought would happen, they just kind of faded away for me, and I lost interest. The best thing about being so forgetful = i can re-read most of my favorite books, and it's all new to me . the 2022 White Sox season is lost in a blue haze, so it's a total restart for me . I just glad that baseball is back.
  5. Seasons come and seasons go, but my god how the money rolls in..
  6. Since this team is a dumpster fire, I probably should find something else to do with my time, but all the same, I will watch every game that I can, for as long as I can, just because baseball is a beautiful game, that I love dearly . also, as with every previous season, you just never know..
  7. Back in the days when my buddies and myself, would ride our bikes to Comiskey and sit in the outfield for .50.
  8. Glad to hear this . i've been a big fan of Steve Stone since he worked for ESPN, and it wouldn't have been the same with Jason Benetti, who is one of the best around.
  9. It's to the point, where i'm thinking that this team is truly cursed.
  10. Haven't been on here very long and don't post much, but I come everyday to read . came the other day, and it was like coming home after work to a house that should be full of people, but the house was empty, and the lights were out.
  11. I don't much mind their bits, to get them through a long season, but that nationwide jingle, oh man , I get upset when they catch me off guard, and i'm not able to mute it.
  12. I follow the Brewers since I live in Wisconsin, but I have never had that thrill watching them, as i've had when something great happens in a Sox game . as more and more of my memories begin to fade away, i'm holding on to baseball with both hands, for as long as I can . every September I lock on to a team that does something for me, and ride it to whatever end they have . sadly, it's worked for years, but damn, come on White Sox, there are people out here that are running out of time, and it sure would be nice to see one more climb to the top .
  13. For me personally, just the thought of LaRussa not being there in 23, lifts my spirits . after so much optimism and enthusiasm entering spring training, last season was pretty devastating, so i'm hesitant to to believe . that being said, all of this is very exciting.
  14. Listened to Rooney & Farmer for years . still miss them, every broadcast . Farmer & DJ could be pretty entertaining . one game they were both in a bad mood I guess, and were calling each other names and saying stuff like, Farmer.."if you don't like what i'm saying then just stop talking, . DJ.. "ok, I will" and there was silence for awhile . it was really funny . they were just blowing off steam, as that grind can get to you . it's happened to me I was fishing, and out for weeks at a time, and guys just snap at each other.
  15. Well, since i've been a fan of this guy for some time now, this is good news for me . wanted him last year.
  16. I don't remember much these days, but I sure remember that bat flip against the Royals . it got my blood going . also, i'm a big Tim Anderson fan, and sure hope that he stays.
  17. Since I live here in Wisconsin, and the Brewers are my 2nd team, this is good news for me I guess . why do I feel like ****.
  18. Just wondering how far-fetched is a scenario, where the outcome of games, for gambling purposes, could be controlled by which balls are used where.
  19. I can't even say how much her music means to me . I first heard it in 1977, when i was 21 and living on the western slope in Colorado, and i had just fallen in love with a beautiful girl . Fleetwood Mac came to Boulder as part of their Rumors tour, and we drove over the mountains to Folsom Field to see them . there was a no seating on the field, and even with a record crowd of 61,500, we got right up in front . it's one of my fondest memories ever, and that's how I will always remember Christine McVie.
  20. I just saw that Jose is gone . sad to see him go, but not surprised . José Abreu is an honorable, hard working man, who never complained, and played his heart out, even when he didn't feel well . I hope that he tears it up in Houston(except when playing the Sox).
  21. I have never actually hated a sports team before, with the possible exception of the 86 Packers, but I truly just cannot stand the Astros . I always wish the winning team well, but this year I just feel, **** them.
  22. Bryce Harper ~ worth the price of admission..
  23. At this point i'm just glad that LaRussa is gone, and that it's not Guillén . wonder how different things might have been, if Grifol had started the 2022 season.
  24. Realmuto with one of those home runs, that Phillies fans will never forget.
