4/5/23 Giants @ White Sox 1:10 Game Time
Well I imagine they're thinking that a .167 average in the 5th game of the season after missing an entire year is probably not a big deal.

GT: 4/1 | Sox (1-1) @ Astros (1-1) | Giolito vs. Urquidy
Thank you for finding the words that I couldn’t. This is the overall reason I’m fine with this start.

GT: 4/1 | Sox (1-1) @ Astros (1-1) | Giolito vs. Urquidy
After three games, my negative takeaways are the bullpen doesn’t instill a lot of confidence and Robert needs get his s%*# together. Otherwise, this feels like a completely different team than last year. Give it a little time, y’all.

Roster Cuts Thread
I was scrolling through the thread too fast and read this as "Did leury get discontinued?" Same thing, basically, just funnier.

Who are the 4 bench players for the Sox?
Forgot about him

Who are the 4 bench players for the Sox?
They don’t need another shortstop, but they need another 2B. I’m not getting my hopes up yet on the Leury thing.

Sox vs Athletics - 03/24/23
Cease went 6 innings on just 41 pitches? I know it’s the A’s + 3 double plays, but that’s wild.

Moncada hurt during WBC
We all want to see more from Yoan’s bat, but perhaps you’re taking for granted what it’s like to have a reliable, great defender at 3B. I don’t think I understand why you would downplay how valuable that is.

Yoan Moncada vs. Gordon Beckham - first 650 games
Yeah but he made a music video

Moncada hurt during WBC
Agree to disagree that Moncada is blocking a DH vs LHP.

Who are the 4 bench players for the Sox?
*When needed. But yeah, I imagine that's how that would go. Gross.

Who are the 4 bench players for the Sox?
No 4th (actual) outfielder?

Moncada hurt during WBC
I imagine there’s resentment that he didn’t pan out as the face of the franchise superstar that the hype of being the #1 overall prospect tends to generate, so some people are just waiting for reasons to criticize him. Which is silly, of course.

2023 Spring Training Thread
They've been relatively healthy thus far, so something was bound to happen. Injuries are more or less a guarantee, which is why it's incredibly stupid to have the approach of "if we stay healthy..."

2023 Spring Training Thread
Is it vague leg season already?

Promotions- Bad Ideas Only
Basically Stay Healthy Night. First 10,000 fans get wacked upside the head with a rubber mallet upon entrance. If you're fine, congrats, carry on. If not, I don't know, maybe you should've crossed your fingers or something because there is no backup plan.

Rodon to the Yankees, $162 million
Ugh, that sucks. Cue the obnoxiously smug 'told ya so's.

2023 Spring Training Thread
It’s funny how the point was to take the blame off Tony, but it did the opposite. How exactly does an ENTIRE TEAM collectively play with less effort, less focus and a shitty attitude? If it’s just a few guys struggling like that, okay, that seems like it would be something more specific to those guys. But the whole team? Surely it’s just a coincidence!

2023 AL Central Predictions
But by that logic, it's the same for the Twins. Correa and Buxton. Maybe Polanco if he stays healthy. Gallo had 19, so if we get the same baseball as last year, not him.
