  1. Top ten worst White Sox Winning Percentage Seasons: .325 1932 .336 1948 .346 1970 .349 1934 .366 1931 .378 2023 YTD .383 2018 .388 1929 .389 2013 .390 1950 Top Ten Most Losses in a White Sox Season: 106 1970 102 1932 101 1948 100 2018 99 1934 & 2013 97 1931 & 1976 95 1968 & 2017 94 1950 & 1969 93 1929 92 1921, 1930, 1989 & 2023 YTD Years in bold are Jerry Reinsdorf owned seasons.
  2. No need to sully Oscar Gamble or Billy Hamilton. He should be assigned Eddie Gaedel's 1/8.
  3. Don't see many "open tryouts" beyond the catcher, second base and right field holes they had since the prior decade (save for McCann's time here). Sounds like a continuation plan of failure for bringing up players not ready and not developed by Chris Getz heading into this season (Colas, Gonzales, Sosa). Even if Jerry is willing to spend, which is doubtful with declining ticket sales for a third consecutive season, there aren't any good free agents willing to come here. As always, it will be relievers and old players signing their last contract with no other options (Dunn, La Roche, Keuchel, Grandal, Parrot, Lynn). Open Tryouts - 40 Man Roster Players under 2024 White Sox contract / control (ML Minimum - Arb 3) (Player & 2023 fWAR through 9/14) Position Players - 17 Under Control for 2024 Catchers: Carlos Perez -0.1 & Korey Lee -0.3 First Base: Andrew Vaughn 0.4 Second Base: Jose Rodriguez 0.0 vs. Lenyn Sosa -0.6 Third Base: Yoan Moncada 0.7 Shortstop: Tim Anderson -0.6 Left Field: Andrew Benintendi 0.2 Centerfield: Luis Robert 4.8 Rightfield: Oscar Colas -1.3 vs. Gavin Sheets -0.9 Designated Hitter: Eloy Jimenez 0.3 Infield Reserve: Zach Remillard 0.1 Outfield Reserve: Adam Haseley -0.2 vs. Trayce Thompson -0.3 vs. Jackson "Clint" Frasier -0.4 Reserve: Loser of one of the above "battles" Minor League Players: Bryan Ramos (AA 22 Years Old) Pitchers - 20 Under Control for 2024 Starters (6 - Threshold = 1 or more 2023 starts): Cease 3.0; Scholtens 0.4; Banks 0.0; Toussaint 0.0; Lambert -0.5; Kopech -0.9 Relievers (11): Santos 1.6; Bummer 0.7; Ramsey 0.3; Peralta 0.1; Patino 0.1; Padilla 0.0; Garcia 0.0; Navarro 0.0; Hendriks -0.1; Crochet -0.1; Cronin -0.2 Minor League Players (3 - Zero White Sox 2023 Appearances): Foster (29 - TJS); Martin (27 - AAA); Ramirez (29 - AAA). Note - Unrestricted (Chicago / Illinois Lockdowns) attendance in 2021 (late June - Year End) was higher / game than unrestricted 2022 season. 2023 is a decline from 2022, 2024 will likely be a decline from 2023 with the extinguishing of any hope after the Chris Getz / Pedro Grifol 2024 debacle.
  4. Sadly not joking. I believe Clevinger receives a suspension with the same "evidence" and circumstances if he was in a long term contract the Sox were looking to shed. MLB delivers on behalf of their owners, it's the only reason NY Headquarters exist. They don't give a rats ass about the integrity of the game or the character of those involved.
  5. How it started "I got a plan, I got a very good plan." - Chris Getz 8/31/23 How it's going. 7-16 .304 - Pedro guaranteed another season.
  6. "Korey Lee brings winning attitude from Astros to White Sox." - 8/1/23 Scott Merkin https://www.mlb.com/news/korey-lee-brings-winning-attitude-from-astros-to-white-sox
  7. Uncover a photo or video of Jerry or his minions throwing a wheelchair fan over the upper deck.
  8. This. Articles and discussions about clubhouse culture are lazy and bullshit. You know what will improve the White Sox? 25 new and better players to complement Luis Robert Jr.. You know what Chris Getz is going to do? Not acquire and or develop 25 new and better players. Will be lucky to have a handful.
  9. Complete MLB transcript records of the Trevor Bauer investigation: Rob Manfred: "Hello Andrew." Andrew Freidman: "Yes." Rob: "Do you guys still want to pay Trevor Bauer?" Andrew: "No." Rob: "Done, thanks." Complete MLB transcript records of the Mike Clevinger investigation: Rob Manfred: "Hello Jerry." Jerry Reinsdorf: "Yes." Rob: "This is Rob." Jerry: "f*** you." Rob: "Thank you Mr. Chairman. Do you guys still want to pay Mike Clevinger?" Jerry: "You might not believe this, but yes the contract is not expensive and I'm told he can pitch." Rob: "Got it. Done, Mike is cleared." Complete MLB transcript records of the Wander Franco investigation: Rob Manfred: "Hello Stu." Stuart Sternberg: "I told you to call me Mr. Sternberg." Rob: "Sorry sir, this won't happen again. Do you want to honor Wander Franco's contract." Andrew: "No, glad to be done with it." Rob: "Done, thanks."
  10. I'm not surprised considering Getz is the same scumbag who knew about what went down when Omar Vizquel sexually assaulted a disabled bat boy, and yet praised him on the way out before attempting to gaslight Sox fans a few weeks ago. Omar Vizquel specifically targeted the bat boy because he was disabled, and another brilliant Chris Getz hire, Wes Helms, witnessed and laughed along while the bat boy was sexually assaulted. https://www.cleveland19.com/2021/08/09/formers-indians-shortstop-omar-vizquel-accused-sexual-assault-by-minor-league-batboy/ I really don't want this, because then Jerry and Getz will say see it's getting better (78 win season) and then they will continue to suck ad infinitum with no changes in place to actually change things.
  11. I'm rooting for 7th or worse, since there is a least a chance Jerry is gone before the 2025 draft, and a competent FO in place to take advantage of a high draft pick. If they pick Top 6 this year, 2024 is a wasted tank year, and no guarantees they get a top 6 in 2025 regardless of how bad the Getz era unfolds.
  12. Lucas, Burger and Lopez were likeable. Graveman was OK, not here very long. Kelly, Lynn and Middleton are douchebags. So glad they are gone, wish someone bit on Clevinger.
  13. 3-4 games over .500 should not be within sniffing distance of a legitimate playoff spot. Would have great AL division races if playoffs were limited to two teams in each league. Atlanta and Los Angeles would easily win their respective divisions, and quite frankly no other team deserves to be in the NLCS. AL East Baltimore vs. Tampa 1 GB (also ran - Toronto, Boston, New York, Cleveland, Detroit) AL West Houston vs. Texas 1/2 GB & Seattle 1 GB (also ran - Minnesota, Los Angeles, Chicago, Kansas City, Oakland)
  14. Trout's contract is far worse for seven more seasons ($37.1M/season). He's finished with 2.7 bWAR three of the last four seasons (one being the owner lockout 2020).
  15. Gallo would be third among current White Sox position players in fWAR, behind Robert Jr. (4.8) and Elvis (1.2). LOL He has been in decline phase the past two years. He had four solid previous seasons through 2021: Age 23 2017 2.8 fWAR, 41 HR, OPS .870 Age 24 2018 3.1 fWAR, 40 HR, OPS .810 Age 25 2019 3.2 fWAR, 22 HR, OPS .986 Age 27 2021 4.2 fWAR, 38 HR, OPS .809 Joey Gallo Career fWAR 15.7. Top current position players - White Sox fWAR earned (5.0 minimum): 18.6 Tim Anderson 14.4 Yoan Moncada 11.5 Luis Robert Jr. 5.3 Eloy Jimenez
  16. White Sox lose another season series tonight, now down 3-7 with 3 games remaining against the Twins. The Sox have four series wins YTD, with another four possible (Arizona, Boston, San Diego and Washington). Four will be the worst across MLB. They have lost to the three teams with the worst records in MLB. Colorado (Won Nine: Boston, Chicago A. L., Cleveland, Kansas City, Los Angeles A. L., Miami, Milwaukee, New York N. L., New York A. L., Possible 3: Chicago N. L. 2-1 (3); Minnesota 0-0 (3); San Diego 4-6 (3)) Oakland (Won Six: Atlanta, Chicago A. L., Colorado, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Possible 3: Detroit 2-1 (4); Los Angeles A. L. 5-5 (3); San Diego 0-0 (3)) Kansas City (Won Five: Chicago A. L., Los Angeles N. L., New York N. L., San Diego, San Francisco. Possible 1: Houston 0-0 (6)) White Sox (Won Four: Atlanta, Cincinnati, Cleveland, New York Yankees. Possible 4: Arizona 0-0 (3); Boston 2-1 (3); San Diego 0-0 (3); Washington 0-0 (3))
  17. It's hard to imagine Getz adding to this list during his current contract (3, 4 or 5 years?). FIre Chris Getz.
  18. I believe Pedro knows things have to turn drastically in 2024, and he has little control over what, if anything, they acquire toward that goal. I don't believe he will be fired in season next year, because Jerry loves money and it's not going to change much. I can see them firing Pedro after season end, like Ricky, with only one more year on his contract rather than have him be a loose cannon lame duck entering 2025 without an extension. Grifol will be a convenient scapegoat for Getz who has far less at his disposal than Hahn's seemingly endless supply.
  19. 500 West 35th, a block past the viaduct / train line west of the park. It’s greasy but for occasional visits it’s great (double burgers or Polish). I haven’t tried the shrimp yet, need to do that next. https://www.redhotranchchicago.com Have to agree with the other posts regarding credit card only, and digital currency being an issue. Could be potentially worse than the cash and property grabs local governments perform under civil forfeiture laws with no timely due process or access to your lawfully earned cash, cars and other property, because mandatory digital currency will impact everyone.
  20. Still following the team but Jerry hasn’t seen a penny from me since spring training March 2, 2020. If he returns, I’m done with it all, and you will not see me again until Jerry is gone, and I return with this clip.
  21. Pedro might be one of the few Sox baseball operations employees less qualified for his particular job than Chris Getz is. While an 100 plus loss season will be cromulent this season, if no significant personnel / organizational changes are made, I really hope they lose 120 plus games each future season until jerry is no longer owner. It's his mess, let him wallow in it.
  22. I'd say for smaller businesses, there can be major costs involved that in many cases may not be feasible to implement. Most do not have the resources (staff, legal advice and financial) to know every single relevant law. It's hard enough managing through the various city, county and state laws to operate seemingly simple businesses. However, for billion dollar net worth entities like the White Sox and Ticketmaster, they have enough attorneys on hand to know the legalities, and at minimum can spend the 2 or so minutes to find the link posted here, and work with Ticketmaster and Boyer's ticket organization to implement. Plantiffs stated ADA requirements, but the Sox choose not to respond or implement, at one point telling Ralph Yaniz "their website is broken". Link to US District Court Lawsuit: https://www.accessliving.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Yaniz-v.-Chicago-White-Sox-9.13.23-Class-Action-Complaint.pdf ACA.gov link I provided is contained on page 4. See pages 7-11 for Ralph Yaniz. See pages 12-15 for Douglass McCormick. See pages 16-17 for relief sought.
  23. Would say Moncada is the third or fourth worst contract right now with the Sox, wouldn't argue folks saying Pedro, Eloy or Leury are worse. ??? for 3+ More Years of Chris Getz f*** you as always Jerry Reinsdorf. $66.4M 4 More Years of Andrew Benintendi (Rick Hahn's last f*** You To White Sox Fans - Burger trade was Kenny Williams') $24M + $5M buyout Yoan Moncada (He was a solid to excellent value covering 2019-2021 $0.6M 2019, $1M 2020, $6M 2021 + $4M signing bonus) $13M for 2024 + $6M for 2025/2026 Buyouts for Eloy - $19M minimum for an absolutely worthless DH who can't stay healthy and can't produce. $5.5M Leury Garcia f*** you La Russa and Hahn. $?M for 2 more years of Pedro Grifol Royals Suck, Sox Royals Suck More $15M Liam Hendriks (Cancer sucks, UCL and Sox FO and Trainers suck worse). $4M Mike Clevinger to go away - Domestic Violence Hotline in Illinois is 1 800-799-7233 (799-SAFE). Illinois Child Abuse Hotline is 1-800-252-2873. (25-ABUSE) $5.5M 2024 + $2.5M for 2025/2026 Buyouts for Aaron Bummer What could have been. Remember, relievers are fungible.
  24. I was on WSI from 2004-2006 or 2007, was banned like most there. They have some sad site up now, with perhaps 1-2% of the "slow" traffic here the past month or so. The Getz move is a big one in terms of deflating hope of meaningful change, the Hahn canning was the one possible chance at competence and of course Jerry failed there as he nearly always does in terms of baseball operations. I backed off a few months here the past couple years, may take longer / until Jerry dies before I've return to following the team regularly. Perhaps @The Kids Can Play is Getz, since he's been AWOL since Hahn was fired.
