  1. Jake Burger for a reliever? One big LOL. Disgusting to move a guy build for G-Rate Field. I'm trying to figure this one out. I know everybody's hitting homer runs, so I guess Burger is not valuable at all. Maybe the Sox had to get rid of him to avoid further embarrssment playing him at 2B. What kind of trade is this? Obviously Sox are down on Burger. Weird trade. I'm so disgusted by the White Sox.
  2. Cause we should keep Robert and Burger, two guys who appear like they belong in the bigs and could be consistent HR bombers for a long time. Eloy I'd dump cause of the injuries. Timmy? I think I'd prefer keeping him. Go with Robert, Burger and Timmy and maybe Vaughn and see what you can figure out after that. You are right though. I could see a GM trading Burger for say, 3 great prospects. Can't miss prospects. I prefer we keep a couple guys tho.
  3. Lifelong sox fan so i haven't jumped ship yet. Just getting sick of bad baseball with no end in sight.
  4. I disagree. I know home runs are blase nowadays with everybody hitting 'em, but Burger really looks like a consistent 40 hr guy. I'd keep him. He can help a team win big things. Perfect ballpark for him too. Burger is our closest thing to a likeable player. He and Robert.
  5. I want some linguini to celebrate the acquisition of Nastrini. Not a fan of Kelly and Lynn, Trayce is no good BTW.
  6. Burger actually should be untouchable. We got something here, folks. And Robert of course. Keep em both.
  7. That's why Sox aren't winning anytime soon. ... I was talking to a friend who was all about the White Sox his entire life. Said he now can't even name the players. Apathy. I told him the pitching staff was unbelievably bad and the hitters pretty much all are easy outs. Couple fastballs chased then a cutter in the dirt or outside, whiff.
  8. Oz was funny last night when he said they should keep the team together and add in the offseason. Chuck said 'you are talking about the Cubs right?' Oz said 'yes, the White Sox .... they need to get rid of everybody including the parking attendant.'
  9. I never ever thought this would be me. But it is. I simply do not care. Long time posters may remember possibly how irate I got and made vicious posts during and after losses, getting in trouble a few times. When everybody thought the Sox knew how to draft during the tank job I was one of very few posters wanting/demanding Ws not Ls. Now I truly don't care. Why? I feel like the team and front office doesn't care so why would I care. That coupled with the fact modern baseball is so boring and expensive.
  10. Just saw the highlights. What a sad loss after an early big lead. This board musta been on fire as we blew the lead. Notice how good of wood the Cubs got on the ball the last 2 nights. My gawd they pummeled the baseball. This team could finish 30 under. Pedro, what up?
  11. His ERA is over 7. 42 Ks over 30 innings. Yeah he may reek for all we know. Second-round pick, though.
  12. Maybe. But Bush is a second-round pick of a good organization and Quero lit it up as a kid. I know you kid me about moving Anderson to catcher but do you like Quero's physique? 5-11?
  13. Angels no. 2 and 3 prospects: Nice. Not so nice: Can Sox develop them? Did the Sox get enough? I'd have demanded one more body at least. Now I know the two Sox pitchers reek many times but they are 'name' players. Not a negative Nancy but Angels win this trade cause we needed one more prospect to be called winners. Quero is 5-11, 170. Grandal is 6-2; Sal Perez 6-3. Our two new players definitely will advance to the majors which is a positive. See how they do when they get there.
  14. If Sox get swept by Cubs, Jerry should apologize to the fans for this season. He's so rich. And so cheap. He should give everybody a ticket for a game in August if we get swept. It's one thing to lose a lot but this team is so bad it's indescribable. Refund baby.
  15. Cubs really crushed the baseball on those homers. Bam.
  16. So disgraceful. You move Moncada to second and keep Burger at third. But they can't do that ostensibly because Moncada would be furious. I would think Burger will be a disaster turning the DP. His range will be very poor at 2B IMO. This is insanity. If you are afraid of making moncada mad, keep him at third and play Elvis (LOL) at 2nd. The lost defense will cost the Sox cause Burger hits HRs once in a while but that's about it, once in a while.
  17. Sox management doesn't know nor does it care but I am emotionally detached as well. The team is so badly constructed it's obvious there's no hope of .500 even for many many years. And if a diehard like myself is detached, what about others? Attendance has actually been pretty good. Wonder if that would change considering the growing apathy.
  18. 19 under .500. wowsie. Did Sox get swept this series or did we win one? Man this team is a cure for insomnia. 13 more whiffs; four by Robert. I can't think of a Sox team in my lifetime as unlikeable as this one. As good as Robert and Burger can be on a given night ... other nights they are utterly unlikeable. Yes even Robert. I wonder who can turn this mess around.
  19. Man, do the White Sox stink. Another L. It's going to be a long long time before the Sox field even a .500 team again. Who would have thought Sox would dip this low? This is not working out well cause Hahn is the one to make all the upcoming trades yet he is the main problem with the demise of the team. This is insane. I think we can all agree .500 will not be attainable for a long long time.
  20. Yeah I think we don't hate Eloy. We probably should postpone judging players until Sox get better manager and coaches and a better lead trainer/fitness instructor, somebody to help keep these guys healthier.
  21. Amen. Giving him any more playing time is insanity. Release him now.
  22. Really Burger? Four strikeouts? That proves nobody on this team gives a bleep. One of the worst 'teams' I've seen. ... This team is hopeless. It is not a contender. Blow it up now. It is just not going to wake up and contend. Geez front office, quit dreaming of a miracle. Trade!
  23. Remi whiffs. At least Elvis makes contact there for a single. I remember when I played organized baseball when you got two strikes on you it was a matter of pride to not whiff. If you struck out there was a sad walk of shame. Nowadays analytics prefer u whiff. Very confusing. Nobody changes their approach with two strikes. I'll stop now. I'm out. Hope we rally and win. Too boring for me to watch the rest.
  24. Good line. You'd have to have rocks in your head to watch either.
  25. He is miserable. No GM in his right mind would give up anything than scrapheap guys for him. Baseball is in so much trouble because of lack of good arms and other things. Throw 99 til you have to go to surgery, rinse repeat.
