  1. Some wild games around the league tonight. Yanks up 12-10 in the 9th, AV and the Brew Crew won 16-9, and then out at Coors...
  2. He got that nickname back in 2024 ST I believe. It's on his Baseball Reference page and everything
  3. The wide zone is actually hurting Smith somehow. He keeps nailing that "generous" outside corner to righties, but it hasn't been consistently generous and he won't get the benefit of the doubt with how wild he's been overall.
  4. I was watching the Phils game earlier and Edmundo Sosa walks out to this, so there's really no reason for the Chicago Sosa not to.
  5. The Sosa defensive miscue ➡️ RBI hit cycle repeats once again
  6. Braden goes 2-4 with a HR. Antonacci 3-4 with a BB and 4 RBI. Galanie 1-5 with a HR. Barons win 6-0, pitching their 4th shutout in 5 games.
  7. Holy crap just take his bat away why don't you
  8. Well Mead just drilled a double to the wall, so that's nice.
  9. Good stuff from McCullough in his return from injury. 4IP, 0ER, 1H, 0BB, 4K. Bergolla looks nice at short.
  10. Bad weather across NC, WS already postponed and Charlotte/Kanny both in a delay.
  11. Helluva day for Zavala. 4-4, two doubles and a walk.
  12. With all due respect to Houser, whose brief time as a Sox I sincerely enjoyed...if I was a Cubs fan tonight, hearing that Adrian Houser was the "really tried, just missed" addition would just piss me off. Houser is the guy they should have gotten after their actual "really tried, just missed" SP fell through.
  13. That's obviously why they've decided to double up the run production.
  14. 5K through 3 scoreless for Smith. Rocket City broadcasters talking enviously about Sox pitching prospect depth.
  15. Welcome home Dylan Cease!
  16. Zavala 3-3 with a 2B and SB so far, in the 4th inning.
  17. 26yo LHP in A ball with a 6.46 career ERA. Sheesh.
  18. Interesting note on Mead...he's RH but it looks like he has fairly strong reverse splits this season. .807 OPS vs. RHP in his relatively small MLB sample size this season (.562 vs. LHP), less drastic but still reverse splits in AAA too. Might change where he fits in the IF mix if it's not a pure platoon situation. Though last season he had a .849 OPS vs. LHP in the bigs and was brutal vs. RHP.
