Saw this in the A.M. and was interested in it. Even though they do not have the White Sox posted yet, and maybe if they do my theory will be shot out of the water with the White Sox, but using the ones they have posted as some support for a belief I've had for awhile, it's not a surprise when JR finds money to sign players. Going by attendance, public statements by team officials, and some other info that is out there is not the most definitive way to determine any teams financial situation, those can be used as a good base analysis, however there are many creative ways a team can save/make money that are basically impossible to realize unless docs like these are leaked.

What kind of package do you think KC could get for him this offseason with no extension or with a window for a team to extend? Obviously his 09 was crazy good, something like a 205 ERA+. He has started 145 + innings 5 times. First time was exactly 145 innings when he was 20, and if memory serves me right they were actively monitoring his innings. He followed that up with a terrible '05 and I believe that's when he went on his leave to deal with anxiety. He has had strong years in 07 and 08, although only 122 IPs in 07, but nothing crazy and this year he has been OK, but not as good as 08 and certainly not close to 09. It will be interesting to see how teams handle him, obviously with him being only 26 there is a world of potential and one outstanding year on the books.
