  1. The one thing they have historically done extremely well is not get burned trading guys away. They can identify outgoing talent but not incoming talent it seems.
  2. I like: Anderson (because) McCann (tough out, chokes up and can hit to right field) Moncada Jimenez Abreu (RBI City)
  3. Let him work on shit as long as we have control. Would love to get some production at some point. Maybe he makes a tweak that clicks one of these years. He knows what he’s doing isn’t good enough.
  4. Dude yea! Perfectly said. Last time I had this grin was 2008 sweep, 2007 sweep, 2005 playoffs all the way to 2006 slapping the shit outa the plate. I missed this grin!
  5. Any chance this is a deke for later in the game?
  6. Let’s make sure to keep the “Power 3” together. Cordell, Sanchez & Rondon.
  7. Yea for sure. It’s a unique skill set with a lot of possible outcomes. Color me curious as well. Maybe he’s one of those guys that will take off with more balls around the zone
  8. Self employed but not in sales? You gotta sell something to get anything. Everyone is in sales. The easy way is to go get a job and simply sell your time. You sell 8 hrs and loyalty and in return you don’t have to worry about where food and rent come from. But you say you can’t go that route. The only other way is to enter the jungle & go sell something, which is harder. Doesn’t have to be a physical object like a car or a piece of paper like insurance. What about selling other people’s labor and marking it up for your efforts? Or go find leads for people who offer services and sell the connections you find. Connecting humans = fat stacks But going that route is scary. The world is an absolute perfect free-market jungle that will tell you really fast what you are worth. Why should I give Jack Parkman money? What’s he gonna do for me? good luck Sox fan.
  9. Some people are just nervous-type guys who look at things on the micro level only. This causes this nervous guy to want to blame and scold and most importantly, MAKE A CHANGE! Hold them accountable! You see this in politics a lot now in your Facebook feed. But when you take a macro look, shit’s lookin good and probably better than it’s been in a long time.
  10. Are you saying this because even championship teams have shitty players? I mean that guy is dogshit
  11. Watched Madrigal’s ABs last night. Dude is in complete control during an AB. I think he has the ability to foul balls off on purpose until he gets something he can barrel. That’s a dying art.
  12. I heard he was spotted drinking deep fryer grease outa the container at pops
  13. Benching Alonso doesn’t mean you have to replace him with a shitty hitter in the heart of the order. Rondon could have batted 9th. Lost the chance for Eloy to bat once more time
  14. Another thing to think about is having good starters makes Ricky’s job easy. Having Nova, Banuelos, Lopez & Santana consistently going 4-5 innings forces Ricky to use the whole pen at sub-optimal times. No way around it.
  15. Yes, I feel like he’s getting the lead off guy to third, stealing second, and getting the #3 hitter a free walk to load the bases or ducks on the old pond. Robert is so fast. I’m leaning towards him being leadoff so he can easily score on a Madrigal double or easily take third on a single.
  16. Well they aren’t prospects anymore either after a tough go of it. Done. Apparently baseball is the only profession in America where you only have one chance and can never fail. And then on top of it you get shamed and blamed on message boards by nervous-guy fans. Then when the blood on the corpse is fully consumed, they move up the chain to hostetler, KW and RH...they drafted him! Those morons! Anderson was lucky!
  17. No, it doesn’t mean that. You are loading your opinion and presenting it as fact. Dude that’s not a fact they are rushing him or is it fact they are promoting him because of his line. Everything you said is 100% pure speculation, which is fine. I tend to think Madrigal is a guy who will have a similar line no matter what level he plays at: close to .300 BA, close to .350 OBP and a who cares slugging %. He will still be successful in most base stealing attempts. He will score tons of runs. If somebody fast bats in front of him, there will be a lot of 1st to 3rds. He will be the guy everybody loves up in the 9th because you know the ball is being put in play. He wasn’t drafted for some OPS line. People gotta come around to that. Now if he doesn’t do the shit I mentioned we’ll have problems.
  18. I don’t think he’s 24 in high school...
