  1. Extremely predictable Mendick would be overmatched but Soto…to everyone buy our manager Thank you Jose
  2. The amount of middle in 90 mph fastballs and hanging sliders this lineup has missed tonight is insane. Should be 5-2 minimum
  3. I’m sure it’s easier said than done…but good god I’m not sure there’s ever been a more obvious need for a trade to happen. We need an OF’er and 2B capable of giving us a MLB AB. That shouldn't be asking for too much
  4. Come on man…he’s got a sub .700 OPS. He’s a rookie that needs to work on his approach and regain confidence. He’s not the 1st, nor the last, and it’s not the end of the world. But it’s obvious he can’t be an effective major league hitter right now, it’s in everyone’s best interest he takes some time in AAA.
  5. I was against it for a while…but Vaughn has to go down. He’s brining little to no value at this point. That pitch should have been 10 rows deep
  6. Sure was…so that + the KC collision and now this pitch and Jose has really taken a beating.
  7. Was this the same knee as the umpire bat incident?
  8. I’d be fine with that. Offense is a dire need. Whether it’s Escobar or someone else, we can’t keep putting these lineups out and expect to win more than we lose. Perfectly fine with waiting on an arm or 2 until the deadline
  9. This season is going to slip away if we continue to think a trade doesn’t have to happen. This offense isn’t able to win games and the starting pitching is due for regression…plus the defense isn’t good.
  10. I did say LH hitter + a useful pen arm, so perhaps platoon wasn’t the best word. Or maybe I’m underrating Dalquist. But I do think we have a pretty realistic shot VS anyone in the AL in a 7 game series (if healthy) so I do want to see some aggression by the FO in adding talent. Obviously there needs to be a reasonable middle ground between trading away what little prospects we have and trying to win a WS. David Peralta is a guy I’d try to target to target
  11. Have to trade something for something…our prospects are pretty much trash and we obviously need help. If Dalquist is too much for you then I guess you’re just standing pat?
  12. I’m hoping a package like Burdi, Dalquist, and 1 of the young IF’s (Ramos/Sanchez/Sosa) can get us something useful to help for a playoff push. Not expecting anything huge in return for a package like that, but a playable LH platoon OF’er and a decent pen arm shouldn’t be that hard to get…or at least I hope. Don’t want to give up the few good prospects we have for a non impact player though
  13. Not a very good throw but also an awful attempt by Mendick. Wrong foot and stretched way too early. Not a 1B but just fundamentals to know how to cover 1st
  14. Didn’t think there was any chance of saying this before the season…but this team is really hard to watch right now. This offense is just putrid
  15. Sure is, didn’t realize that. I might be desperate enough to settle for Josh Reddick at this point honestly.
  16. Can we just give up a couple of nothing prospects for Asdrubal Cabrera and Cole Calhoun? Sadly both would be welcomed additions to the roster for at least another month +
  17. If the team was healthy I’d 100% agree. But are you really looking at these lineups and thinking that under performing is the issue? I think we are sending out bad lineups that are performing about as expected. There’s just no way I can logically think that sending Luery, Mendick, Mercedes, Goodwin/Lamb/Eaton out as regulars for another month + is going to “work itself out”. The question for me is whether or not the pitching staff can continue to carry the team and keep things afloat until reinforcements come…or does a move need to be made sooner rather than later
  18. DBacks- David Peralta and Asdrubal Cabrera fill our needs very nicely and shouldn’t cost a top prospect
  19. I think people are panicking on Marshall too soon. Despite some early struggles I still like our bullpen a good bit honestly. Pretty much any team ever could use 1 more arm, but it’s not a major priority in my eyes. If 1 of the starters goes down is a bigger concern to me…a long man that can start a few games might be best, if possible. Give me another OF’er and a better utility guy to reinforce the offense. D Backs are a good trade partner target for me- David Peralta and Asdrubal Cabrera would be ideal and probably wouldn’t cost that much.
  20. Well in that case…my bad. Not on here enough to pick up sarcasm like that from a particular user
  21. Have you also ponder the fact that you might be an idiot? .774 OPS and 118 WRC+ this season and 1.5 WAR in basically 1/2 season worth of a baseball career so far. Yup, you’re definitely an idiot
  22. What are we even doing if replay doesn’t overturn that? Absolute joke
  23. I’m no doctor or expert, but didn’t look like there was any reason to assume any kind of tear. Knee didn’t bend or twist in a concerning way that I saw. He’ll probably have a hell of a bruise for sure, but doubt the umps backhand toss was enough to cause a deep bone bruise or anything
  24. Fuck that umpire. But thank god it’s more of a bruise situation at worst. Immediately thought he tore something
