Right, that deserves to be pulled. Doesn't mean he hasn't been excessive in his use of this tactic for most of the season.

It’s also become a crutch decision that has not worked and has seemed to show he does not trust his players

POTY.  Ricky’s boys don’t quit, but the skipper sure doesn’t want them to come back with his in-game tactics.

Is there a statistic that demonstrates team failure to plate a run with a man on 3rd and less than two outs?

We have to be running away from the rest of the league with that.
