7/28 Sox/Indians Double Header thread

Not like this game is important or anything.  It really is no big deal to be 1-4 in a 60 game season.

  • This lineup is so absurd I had to come out of hibernation to join the fun

Grandal has averaged a 5.0 fWAR the last 5 seasons. Only White Sox fans would b**** about his acquisition 2 and 1/2 games into his White Sox career after a long layoff.

lol I'm basically the same way. I had to comment on this

I see Ricky finally found a proper replacement for Alosno at clean up.

Lol you need to Fucking leave me alone. I'm not even talking to you. So chill the fuck out

Would be great if Abreu woke up right here

This guy kind of looks like Loaiza

As much as Ozzie loved Mark Kotsay and Darin Erstad, he never let them hit cleanup. This is ridiculous.

Worse!!!

Corner already looking wide...

Hope that Delmonico/Collins can do something productive hitting in the heart of the line-up.

We knew that EE was going to be streaky, and historically he almost always starts off slow.    A split here feels like a huge swing.   Either a sigh of relief or panic starting to set in with the early pitching so shaky.

Abreu looks beyond slow at the plate.

Nicky in the 4th spot? lmao I'm done

Seriously Ricky is off his rocker

Here he comes!!!

That's the first time Nicky made legit contact in play all year.

Ok, Rodon. Let’s try to keep the pitch count down, huh?

Unsurprisingly, our DH's were the worst in MLB with a 641 OPS last year.

Has a team ever started a clean-up hitter the following season after releasing the same player at the previous mid-season?

That has to be a first in history.

Of course it results in an out.

Is everyone still on beer or have we switched to hard liquor at this point?

Ron, where have you been?

It's really not hard to understand...

Ricky is a nice nice guy.... but below average intelligence.

Not the kind of top level thinking you need as a coach in professional sports...

So far out of his league.

Rodon throwing 91 or 92 is not good.

It will be the classic Albert Belle "second half" empty numbers.

We have so many left with DET and KC, we'll be alive in this forever...but KC is showing some surprising offense in the early going, not sure how well our pitching staff is going to stack up to go more than 6-4 against the Royals if these depressing trends continue.

Wow a manager who has all LH against a RH pitcher in the first game and now uses an all RH lineup against a LH pitcher. He's worse the Renteria with playing the RH, LH matchups.

Here we go
