Keuchel is being paid whether he pitches or not so he is pitching until a better option is found.  Lynn replaces VV and maybe someone replaces Keuchel but that is not happening any time soon.

Sox will improve just like the weather.

I don't think Lambert is an option. If either of VV or Keuchel could just get through 3 innings allowing < 2 runs, that would be valuable. Maybe run them out there each one time through the lineup and then turn it over to the bullpen.

Cueto replaces VV next week.  Lynn will replace either Cueto or Keuchel whoever is worse in a couple months (it will be Keuchel)

If money were not an option you would be correct.  Cueto's salary is not guaranteed, Keuchel's is.

I'm sure we will hear again tonight how he as the same birthday as Joe Crede, as if we forgot the last 10+ years he told us.

The team at least looked better in pitching and defense over the last couple of games.  Hopefully that bodes well for a little bit of home cooking the next few days.

Just because we have sunk the investment into Keuchel doesn't mean we have to keep pitching him.

Lets hope he figures out how to be a crappy starting pitcher rather than a disaster, and then we don't need to worry about that decision.

I am not convinced that Cueto is going to be better than Dallas right now.  Maybe we see what his next AAA start looks like, but both his stuff and his results were bad.

i was only able to make it to two games last season (im out of state) and both games were Keuchel disasters. I also saw Kimbrels first game with us in which he blew chunks

My friend paid full price for our tickets. I just checked StubHub and there are seats in Sec 117 Row 2 for $17 each. Even with fees that's probably < $30/seat.

Josh Harrison at DH tonight.  Shit even Yermin might be able to find his way into a DH platoon if he were healthy at this point.
