  • Earl Weaver knew how to manage.  Probably my all-time favorite.  If you were a regular player you were on the field or in the hospital.  He didn't try to overthink it.

If we get swept by the A's which is a good possibility as they also swept the Astros then we have to blow up this this team of losers and quitters. I don't know if I can take watching this sorry cast

  • Does anyone give a shit anymore

this team makes me sick to my stomach. I can barely even post here anymore because I get sad.

360 ft to LCF won't get it done. 360 down the line does.

Lead baseball in warning track power

He was just a little late on that one. If he pulls it more it's a 3-2 game.

sox are better with Grandal on the IL

Watch Zavala go on a tear for a playoff team like the Astros looking to potentially upgrade from Maldonado.

Man we swing and miss a lot tonight

The Sox have the 4th best team batting average & 5th lowest team strikeout rate in baseball. The issue is all about not enough walks & power.

Add to that poor situational hitting and lack of clutch hitting in game situations.

I was told he is elite. I hope he gets a two year extension like Lynn.

It’s just so bad. All of it.

So a light at the end of the tunnel. Only one more year of him.

What I would give to see the fans all get up and walk out of the stadium. What a horrible team!

I don't know how they're not going to lose 40-50% or more of season ticket holders at this rate...

It's going to be an abysmal renewal season for Boyer.

But they could use more offense out of their back up.

Every year they're in the bottom 3-5 at that spot offebsively but it doesn't even faze them a bit.

It’s well deserved

We get Grandal again in a DP situation.

I predicted this earlier in the thread, that hitting Grandal fifth was a mistake.  Reminded me of that time that Leury was penciled in to lead off or to hit third. Big dumb unforced errors.

Cueto has had a big influence on Reylo.

I like Cueto, they need more players like him that actually produce. That’s why they need to bring in Cueto+ ability/results starting pitchers.

I was just looking at Menechino's batting stats. In 7 years with Oakland and Toronto his career batting average is .240 with 36 career Homers. How the hell does somebody with a .240 lifetime batting average become a hitting coach. That boggles my mind

Meanwhile the 3 Stooges are on MEtv.

Security harassing elderly fans isn't helping, either.

Check out Katz's MLB pitching stats.
