Girthy, but he’s doing just fine…

  • I’m thinking of that key and peele sketch. “Is there a Bruh-ee-say on this team? Stop playing with me, Bruh-ee-say!”

Flexen must be too expensive

This guy is Great Value Lance Lynn

If this a MLB deal, someone is getting cut for Christmas.

With this information, I guess I will be taking the over on Draft Kings.

I also agree with the sentiment of the OP....Who??

Is his name pronounced like Bryce?

If so, God help us all with Schriffen.

“Breee-Say Weelson”

Now we just need someone with the last name "Harpar" and we'll have our "Bryce Harper" at home

Who in the blue hell is this guy? Huh

I don’t hate it. Will not miss Chuckie, though he seems like a good dude.

One thing we know for sure is Banny likes big bodied pitchers.

I like this move but I want them to sign a more proven starter this offseason.

Mined from the comments section of MLBTR’s article covering this transaction:

”Laugh at this move today, but someone investing in giving this kid a starting job and a season to see what he really can do is worthwhile.

Look back at his playoff start against the Dodgers. Wilson has lights out stuff when it’s working, and is a great project for Bannister to work on.”

Dude sounds like he is familiar with this Wilson cat - and if this sentiment is true, this is exactly the type of guy we should be signing.

Does he have more than one year control?

He would technically be arbitration eligible but he's fringy enough that it won't matter. He's already been bought for cash considerations once, if he stays with the team the whole year he's probably a non-tender guy.

Yes. 2 years.
