I don’t blame Ricky. How much more are they going to coddle him. He’s worse than Gio was last year currently.

not about coddling it's about trying to win games in a surprisingly competitive season.

Wow Lopez and Ricky fucking suck

I still trust the Sox offense vs. The Nats bullpen. They shut them down the rest of the inning i think it's ok.

That being said oy.

That was the most obvious outcome ever.

I just said that to my buddy I'm texting with.

I called it before the AB too.

Put him in the bullpen. Not sure I see starter with him. Think his stuff will play better pitching an inning.

He should have never been allowed to pitch to Rendon.  But Renteria is trying to develop him or something.

Seriously Renteria is a straight moron... it's unbelievable.

God, this game sucks now... I hate this. The kind of loss that can begin a spiral.

So yeah I don't know if Lopez is a major league starting pitcher.

But absolutely sure Ricky is not a major league manager.  Awful.

What the hell happened to all the progress Lopez made towards the end of the year? What did he work on in the off-season and spring training?

People really need to stop caring what players do in the last month of the season

The stuff is fine.  He however leaves pitches up to much and when you leave a slider up that doesnt have a lot speed differential between it and your fastball you speed up the hands and barrel up the ball for the batter.  You can pitch up, however your secondary pitches need to be down.  Sending him down is silly.  Let him work through this here.  Having him find his mojo against AAAA hitters doesnt do anything.  He needs to get his location better and attack.  Its a rebuild, fix this in 2019.

Are we really competitive tho? I guess I’m still not a full believer

Giolito stole his talent.

He just needs to find his slider again.

The Sox have leaned way too hard in his fastball, whole league has gone away from that.
