For the right price. Collins is getting 0 playing time and would be a good piece to dangle. Not sure what his value is though.

No way. Has to be really cheap. More games PPD today. I'm still not convinced this season finishes.

Maybe this team responds well to being treated like crap.  Continue swearing at them!

We'd be the 20s Yankees if this were the case. I think we win this one 4 to 3. The key is to be an evader of Hader.

I think you can get a solid starter for a fringe prospect this year.

The way starters are dropping like flies, I think teams will hold on tighter.

Let me clarify. The bad teams who don't care and want a high draft pick will be handing guys away. Especially guys that cost money.

Really depends on how much control they have left. Rental for this year, you're probably right. A guy with at least another year of control, those teams that are tanking would likely rather hold on and try to trade next year, especially if the offers are fringey guys.

It's going to be awfully hard to use this years results to set the draft order.  I think they end up using last years order again.

They may just combine the two years.

If they can play a full season, it will be really hard to say it was good enough to crown a champion, but not a 1st pick.

It will be really interesting to see how teams may handle trades this year. I could see a scenario where it’s based on games played. So for example, let’s say the Sox trad for Marcus Stroman on July 25th.

In theory, they could trade Marcus Stroman for a PTBNL and give the Mets a list of names they can choose from. But it’s based on games played. If the Sox make the playoffs (not even have it relate to games Stroman pitches in) but just if the season lasts and the Sox make it to the playoffs, you can choose one of these guys on this list. But if the MLB season only ends up lasting until August 18, we’ll still trade you a player for Stroman, but its a different set of lesser players.

The regular season doesn't determine the champion though. And they added more playoff teams to ensure they get it right (and make more money). So a change to the draft could make sense if they wanted to do it that way.

The Score is terrible in every time slot. I used to like listening to grobstein but he has the same five idiot callers every night. He’s starting to be forgetful as well.

mulligan and haugh are pretty good and that’s it.
