I never knew that there were eligibility rules for American kids. I thought any HS Senior or College Kid of any year was eligible.

Found it. I never knew.

Players at four-year colleges and universities are eligible three years after first enrolling in such an institution, or after their 21st birthdays (whichever occurs first).
Junior and community college players are eligible to be drafted at any time.

ala Tim Anderson.

Because this is the 2017 draft discussion thread and he is eligible to be drafted next year. There's another thread for the 2018 draft.

I keep forgetting to ask, but I propose we change that 2018 MLB Draft thread to Seth Beer thread with 2018 draft as the sub-headline. Then we can change it again in June to general 2018 Draft thread.

Mayo's top 25 prep draft prospects. I really feel like with strength of the class and where the Sox are picking during a rebuild, that a high school bat could be very likely.

Hostetler told me they're definitely going to be more active with high schoolers this year.
