  1. 38-91 since Getz took over on the interim and then got the job. Can’t waste a year.
  2. They will get to .500 in 2025. They will start out 0-0.

Probably not serious, but Julio Rodriguez getting an MRI on his quad. Even so, I think it reinforces the need for the Mariners to add an impact bat like Robert before the deadline. The good news for us is they currently have eight top 100 prospects in Baseball America’s list, seven of which are positional guys. On paper, there is no better match between two clubs. The Phillies might still be the favorites IMO given their GM, but the Mariners are a very close second.
  4. I am also actively shopping for a winning powerball ticket.
  5. Also, I never understood all this "Pham is gone by the trade deadline" stuff. No one except the desperate Sox wanted to sign him as a free agent. Why would anyone trade for him now?
  6. I'm starting to come around to the idea that Boston may have won that Chris Sale trade
  7. Please just DFA Kopech, they aren’t going to get anything for him, I never want to see him pitch in a White Sox uniform again.
  8. Oh Burger is absolutely walking this one off.
  9. What have you been watching this season? These players DO in fact make basic mistakes like clowns and buffoons, or little leaguers, that major leaguers should not be making.
  10. No fastball command and becoming a one-pitch pitcher hasn’t helped
  11. Grifol has to be canned at the ASB. As for Kopech, I can’t wait for him to be gone.
  12. I'd say career.
  13. Yep. A lot better than we could have said a year ago. Maldonado has helped him a lot.

Wolkow is exactly the player you dream on, and he’s been better than any person could reasonably expect.

For reference, Spencer Jones (who the Yankees have tagged as untouchable) has a 37.2% strikeout this season as a 23 year old in AA.
  16. [Meteor hits the earth, kills half the planet] "Think of all of the geologists who will have work now!"
  17. That was epic bad……….Kopech is not fixable and complete mental midget!
  18. You coming around on Eloy yet? Or think we should pay him $16.5 mil next year
  19. This is such a dumb post.
  20. Pretty sure Chuck Garfien is in love with Jake Burger.
  21. The Orioles board may not have thought Cease was an ace but many thought Luzardo was and worth selling the farm for. So I’m not sure they’re the best judge of talent either.
  22. who gives a f***
  23. Miller and Caba please.
  24. So has that been Kopech’s problem the entire season? Spikes? He is 2-8 with a 5.45 ERA and 5 blown saves.
  25. Could we pleeeeeeeease DFA Kopech and Maldanado. Please!!!! Give the team some kind of positive feel as the all-star game approaches. For the fans that are left, all 20 or so of us.
  26. By my calculations, 20 pitches, all fastballs?
  27. Bad spikes for the entire season.
  28. That’s a shame.
  29. His spikes? Hahahahahaha
  30. No they haven't, stop.
  31. Yeah I don't know why anyone would be hard on Kopech. It must just be me. I honestly can't recall a team loaded with so many insanely talented players who bombed harder than this franchise.
  32. You know JR already has Eloy’s $3 million dollar buyout counted out and ready on his office desk.
  33. Sosa continues to hit.
  34. The Marlins play the sound of a RING doorbell and my dogs keep going crazy when they hear it. Truly evil
  35. Was saying that the extra at bats and change of scenery would get him out of his funk. Chuck followed it up by saying "He can't even run" And Frank said "We're 40 games under who cares"
  36. Korey will be a cromulent backup when Quero is ready.
  37. Man some of Robert's ABs are just so....bad.
  38. I would really like Seattle and Baltimore to work out for Robert and Crochet respectively. Their position player pools are so deep.

SI has become a content farm. I'm guessing they're paying recent grads peanuts to get a legacy name on the resume after the AI articles flubbed.
  40. Being dogshit doesn’t even guarantee you a top pick anymore, just a better chance at it. Just like the Sox, the Reinsdorfs are a day late and a dollar short on tanking everything

Jerry DiPoto is always dealing too.

BBs count as a plate appearance, but not an at bat. So if you come to the plate 10 times and you have 2 hits, 2 BBs, 4 Ks, and 2 fly outs, your batting average would be .250 (2 hits divided by 8 at bats), and your K% would be 40% (4 Ks divided by 10 plate appearances). Wolkow has struck out 42% of the time this year (44% since getting called up to A ball).
  43. 2 points
You have to divide by plate appearances, not by at bats.
  44. I mean, you made the argument. They should have made these deals for better returns 1-2 years ago, that in itself makes these deals light. You really can complain
  45. 2 points
He’s not. This is a bad post.
  46. I just don’t think anyone meets the asking price
  47. Maybe that’s why he’s struggling because Jake Burger sucks.
  48. Well then guess they don’t really want Crochet.

Do you only show up to s%*# on Montgomery?
  50. Also, Zavala is walking at an 18% clip as an 19 year in High A ball. He legit has a .449 OBP since June 1st (120 PA’s). The whole package isn’t quite there just yet, but it’s easier to become a more aggressive hitter than it is to become a more selective one. Once he learns a more balance approach, he will shoot up these rankings lists.
