  1. In fairness it’s the biggest game Teel will play in all year (well until tomorrow - if he is able to go).
  2. Sox lose less than 100 games
  3. Jarred Kelenic makes the team and leads them in WAR, Chicago White Sox complains about it all season and Harrold makes a triumphant return due to this.
  4. Reminds me of when we lost Eloy for 6 months trying to rob a homer in the WBC final for the Dominican Republic... oh wait that was in ST. What about every other ST injury that happens all the time??? I'm bummed about this too but what are we doing here? Players get injured in any setting. We just had a prospect get drilled in the head in a backfield game today. Should we stop the minor league backfield games????
  5. White Sox 3 Team USA 0
  6. Vargas double, Kelenic walk, Lee HR (110.8mph, 440+) puts the Sox back up 6-3. Rooker gets one back on a solo shot, 6-4. Smith's pitch mix is pretty different from usual today so I assume he's working on something.
  7. The price for a Cuban Comet sandwich is raised to $15.99....and my son and I still get one each at any game we attend. I'm a weak man and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
  8. Considering the cap situation and Dalman retiring, I think this is probably better overall at plugging holes than what I foolishly wanted which was to go all out on Linderbaum or Crosby. It’s a whelming offseason, not over or under
  9. Teel was still in uniform walking around high fiving teammates after the game, so unlikely to be too serious
  10. Me too. Would remind me of the top of the 1st inning of the Angels first game of the 2002 season….angels gave up a bunch of runs in their home opener and I was in attendance with some friends and my best buddy got up and yelled - well this seasons over and sat down (whole outfield bleachers laughed)….well we still give him s%*# about that to this day….i hope you guys get to do the same to me! Note: Angels went on to win World Series that year!
  11. Not about injury, about White Sox not playing in any important games since Astros' playoff loss in 2021.
  12. It’s like a hammy pull. No one is thinking he needs his leg amputated. It’s a sport in which injuries happen, just like in ST. It sucks but it is what it is.
  13. He became our first president in 1789.
  14. This is why playing in these tournaments is dubious.
  15. Antonacci another quality at bat against a tough reliever
  16. Wohoo - only time I’ll root for a cubbie hah
  17. Even bolder prediction: driving ingress and egress is not updated and parking is not expanded. The only ways in and out of the park are by foot, water taxi, or helicopter.
  18. March 24th confirmed as the start date for the T-Mobile offer for those who partake, available to redeem until the 30th.
  19. Here are my 20 bold predictions: Sox improve by 19 games yet again with and flirt with a playoff spot The positional group finishes the season well above league average in fWAR The pitching staff is still below league average but well above expectations Will Venable wins Manager of the Year in a landslide victory McDougal is up by May 1st and puts up a 2+ win season Hagen Smith is up by Jun 1st and puts up a 1.5+ win season Thorpe is back by Jul 1st and puts up 1+ wins across the 2H Kay, Fedde, & Martin all traded, DFA’d or moved to bullpen by Jul 1st Burke reclaims his 2024 form and leads the pitching staff in fWAR at 3.5 Berroa back by Jun 1st and immediately becomes a dominant bullpen piece Antonacci is up by May 1st and puts up a 2+ win season Teel leads the positional group with an fWAR of ~4 Murakami strikes out like crazy but hits 35 HRs and wins AL ROY Meidroth achieves his Steamer projections of 2.6 fWAR and a 108 wRC+ Acuna demonstrates elite CF defense and surprises with the bat (~90 wRC+) Baldwin secures an everyday role by producing a 115 wRC+ for the season Colson struggles immensely to start the year before a solid 2H rebound Periera goes from platoon bat to everyday OF after mid season Hayes injury Benintendi & Sosa are both traded or DFA’d before the end of the season Kelenic fails to make the OD roster, flounders in AAA, & retires from baseball TLDR - The Sox are going to surprise and have a very nice fucking season!
  20. It is the bold thread after all!
  21. Is that 75 each?
  22. Hawk Harrelson returns to the broadcast booth unexpectedly and frame mogs Schriffen.
  23. Jerry Reinsdorf decides he's had enough and turns the franchise over to Justin ishbia. All remaining White Sox fans have a day of unfettered joy and celebration.
  24. But does he make his triumphant return in a brand new 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?
  25. Montgomery has less than 14 home runs Teel is an All-Star - leads team in WAR Quero has a strong opening 4 months and gets traded at the deadline due to playing time issues Lenyn Sosa hits 20 home runs by the trade deadline and get traded. Luisangel Acuna has more WAR than Luis Robert Murakami bats .250 with 30+ bombs. Somehow we are able to rid ourselves of the Benintendi contract at the deadline We once again nail the rule 5 and both selections become very good bullpen pieces. 4/4 in the last 2 years. Cholowski is the number 1 prospect in all of baseball come 1/1/2027 - and the White Sox have him
  26. Salary is obviously not comparable but here are two guys.. one everyone hates and one everyone thinks is one of our best hitters.. .264 / .293 / .727 - 22 HR - 75 RBI - Can't play defense - 0.8 BWar .240 / .307 / .738 - 20 HR - 63 RBI - Can't play defense - 1.0 BWar
  27. I get "bold' is doing a lot of work here but every one of those seems absolutely insane to me, like 1 in 100 seasons type stuff. The only one I could possibly see would be Murakami setting the K record. As for a bold prediction I'd say that Baldwin gets around 120 starts, hits around 20 HR and finishes around 2.5 WAR.
  28. Thus far, they have plugged holes with seemingly similar players for last season. And there are still more holes to fill. But, when the draft is over, we should all have the expectation that the Bears went out and made this team better during the offseason than it was last year. That should absolutely be the goal, based on where they are at in their timeline. On March 10th, that isn't the case, they are not a better roster than they were last year, but there is still some time. I assume you mean that as a slight based on your post history, but banking on free agent signings isn't the way successful teams prosper. You don't hit on your draft picks, your team will fail, it's a really simple equation.
  29. Don’t join the Army
  30. Hoping this is the case. I'm sure we'll get a bunch more details tomorrow
  31. Team USA might just deserve an early knockout lol
  32. Sorry, Teel is one of my favorite players since I met him at Sox Fest last year. Not laughing but go ahead.
  33. Yeah I wasn’t joking about the injury purely comment about someone saying why was he playing or what was he playing for. Clearly WBC games are bigger than anything the Sox will play for this year. Wish it wasn’t true but it is.
  34. PCA is gonna be one of those guys i fucking hate so much on the Cubs but silently respect
  35. Promoting baseball across world and Italy/Europe, specifically. But that's why Skubal bailed and NFL went to flag and skills competition.
  36. Yea, looked like he pulled a hamstring. Terrible news for our Sox. And for what?
  37. I'm all aboard the Antonacci train.
  38. Romo cleared waivers when he was DFA’ed and is now off the 40-man, which is where I’m sure Getz would prefer him to be.
  39. Eating more pasta love it Ant
  40. Lee is on the 40-man. Romo isn't.
  41. He walked off under his own power so hopefully nothing too bad.
  42. How? They just beat Mexico. They'd only lose out if all 3 teams are tied at 3-1 right?
  43. Damn I'm gonna demolish a giant tray of lasagna in honor of Teel and Antonacci
  44. Antonacci is a monster.
  45. Man the pitching. Last season, the 2 Rule-5 guys were great; otherwise, the young pitching (Cannon, Burke, Taylor, Smith, Schultz) did not advance and disappointed overall. Hope 2026 is better.
  46. I supposed you would come around because ultimately that would be a good thing, BUT you will complain that he made the team initially and cite how awful he was last season before coming around. This is my bold prediction don't s%*# on it.
