  1. The 1st place White Sox are coming off a huge stomping of the Dodgers yesterday and now have won three games in a row. As should be clear by now, this team feeds off the energy of our fans with the third best home record in the sport. And based on today’s pitching probables, they’re going to need the sellout crowd behind them. For the Dodgers today is a very tough Yamamoto. He currently has a 2.68 ERA on the season, but with a bit worse FIP & xERA of 3.43 & 3.42 respectively. He has a diverse arsenal of six pitches that make him matchup proof and tough against both righties and lefties. While the K rate isn’t eye-popping at 8.5 per 9, he’s got great control and is able to command his breaking balls well to generate chase. Whomever is in the lineup today will need to be patient and avoid chasing splitters & curveballs out of the zone. As for the Sox, we have Burke on the mound sporting a 3.88 ERA on the season with a 3.70 FIP and 3.71 xERA. While the overall results have been solid, he’s been very hit or miss with four of his last 8 starts with xERA below 2.00 and two above 7.00. The good news is the K rate is trending up with five of his last eight starts above 10 per 9 and his most recent start at 14.5 per 9. He will certainly need his best stuff & command against a Dodgers offense that impacts the baseball as they currently have the 2nd best ISO. While I think the pitching matchup is better on paper today than yesterday, it still won’t be easy. The one saving grace is we have a fairly disciplined offense who is capable of punishing mistakes. Yamamoto doesn’t give up a lot of HRs, but in this hot weather I think we can hit a bomb or two if we remain disciplined. If we can get five good innings out of Burke today, I like our chances with Taylor, Newcomb, & Dominguez all fresh and able to go four themselves. Gun to head, I’m predicting a 3-2 for our beloved White Sox. Let’s fucking go!!!!
  2. Small things matter. Chase breaking up the perfect game and Peter’s ending both the no hitter and shutout are huge. Despite getting killed today, the team will wake up tomorrow feeling ok knowing they prevented the big time s%*#.
  3. Hey, good on Sox fans (and 10k Dodgers fans) for giving Yamamoto a standing O. He was nails.
  4. 7 more dongs and we got this!
  5. Just bought tickets and taking the whole family. Not sure how I convinced the wife given how fucking expensive tickets are for this series and the fact she is a diehard Cubs fan. Either way, super excited to be there today.
  6. Do the Bananas have any pitchers?
  7. Swore I’d never pay for the CHSN package. Got the free trial for the Cubs series. They hooked me. I’m paying for the whole season now. GO SOX!!!
  8. If there is anyone out there that still doesn't believe this team is legit they should get a cognitive evaluation.
  9. Sasaki in his previous 5 starts: 7 ER in 29.1 IP Sasaki vs. the Sox last night: 7 ER in 4.1 IP Yamamoto in his last 5 starts: 8 ER in 33.2 IP So maybe they can put up 8 runs in 6 innings or so? ...but probably not. But I’d like them to at least make him work and keep pressure on the LA pen which struggled in Pittsburgh. Yamamoto has pitched into the 7th in 4 of his last 5, don’t let him do it tonight.
  10. I’d say far away from Roupp right now given the Pride Night controversy. Not trying to be political here, but our clubhouse is firing on all cylinders right now and I wouldn’t want to bring anyone with baggage who might disrupt that.
  11. Not even Ron’s mistake the other day can slow this team down!
  12. I’m a Wisconsinite. You can drink with your parents or legal guardian if you’re breathing. You don’t need to be 18.
  13. Just sign Trevor Bauer......🫣
  14. I want to be annoyed by this, but it honestly might be the least obnoxious post you’ve had in years.
  15. Meh, this was always going to be the toughest matchup of the series. Yamamoto was nails today, hats off to him. But not getting perfecto'd, no hit, shut out, or CG'd weirdly creates a bit of momentum when it seemed so likely they'd get at least one of those outcomes. Sheehan should be much more manageable for the bats tomorrow, and Will can make the most of the pen with the Monday off day. The boys are still holding their own through this stretch, which is what matters most.
  16. We'll just have to settle for 18 of the last 22 at home
  17. He shouldn't be allowed to play if we can't have Mune
  18. Not sure it anyone realized or was posted somewhere else but the sox pitching staff retired 19 straight dodgers batter to end the game.
  19. Have a great time! Hopefully Ma Nature will cooperate!
  20. Tough pitcher to face, but it seems the Sox haven't given a s%*# about that all year. Let's go.
  21. I really don't want to move Gabe Davis given the volatility of the pitching. I also want to see what happens with Hagen Smith, Shane Smith and maybe Thorpe first. I also wouldn't move Gonzalez because we need to see whether they are willing to pay Murakami or whether he is even willing to discuss an extension. If we end up losing him we're gonna need another lefty mashing 1B. IMO if Schultz knee holds up and was the reason the performance dipped, I think his return alone will help alot if he looks more like he did in the first few starts.
  22. Andrew Vaughn being called up early to play LF. Andrew Vaughn starting a game at 2B.
  23. I’m at a loss for words to describe what’s going on with this team, 2 years ago I was having fits of depression and here we are in 2026 and it’s unbelievable what has happened, these guys truly believe in themselves and bits of adversity with a loss here and there along with injuries doesn’t bother them a bit, they just come out and play better. I think they will make the post season and probably improve once Mune and Teel are healthy.
  24. 88 win pace in the middle of June
  25. Looks like it’s a tough stretch for teams playing the Sox instead.
  26. I really don’t want to partake in this nonsense, but the ridiculing of Getz for the two shitty years when he first took over was always stupid given how broken our infrastructure was. People kept telling you that he was making foundation improvements and should be given some time, but you kept clinging to the W-L record and would just say he “stinks”. And here you are, after clearly seeing the benefits of those changes, still highlighting the shitty records those first two years. By no means am I suggesting that we declare an upcoming dynasty, but I find it crazy you are still acting like the 2024 & 2025 seasons are somehow meaningful when assessing Getz.
  27. Joe Rock makes Sean Burke look Greg Maddux in terms of control
  28. Rikuu could not bunt either.
  29. Sox have demonstrated that it can successfully go head to head, with the best NL teams of the Braves and Dodgers. Good omen so far.
  30. This is premiere posting right here. A 3-game thread-starting win streak and solid pre-game analysis. Enjoy the game with your family today. I’m gonna go out on a limb and predict an Antonacci home run today.
  31. Try listening to the original version of the song by Syl Johnson 1975.
  32. Just went on the Baseball Reference White Sox page and saw this: Playoff Odds: 62.7% to make postseason, 1.6% to win World Series This is also game #69 for the season. On this date the Sox are 58-49 vs RHP 2026: 27-21
  33. That team started way better, but from a team build perspective it is definitely similar to this year. Weirdly enough I think that team solidified itself as for real around mid June when they had to play Cleveland and the Yankees for 4 straight series and they came out of that stretch with a 11-3 record. Kind of similar to this gauntlet we're going through now. We're half way through it and we're 4-2. Hopefully we can finish strong and mirror that 2000 team.
  34. I am thinking 1990, good young position players, good bullpen, not enough starting pitching, 2nd year manager.
  35. Is there going to be a Roch Cholowsky bobble head day on 7/11?
  36. I think that quote warms my heart more than any other so far.
  37. Holy f***, just googled it some more and you are correct. My 16 year old son was all worried about looking old enough to order a beer. Jeebus. Not a reason to choose a residency, but there is something to showing your stupid kids what getting drunk is like and owning up to it. f*** Chicago and the taxes. I’m moving to WI the second my younger son picks a college. Ain’t no police force to protect me in Chitown anyways so who give a F.
  38. There's a saying we used to throw around when I was doing data stuff and it's "if you can't measure it it doesn't matter". There is something to home energy, but at the same time: if it only happens with a good team first, well, hard to measure. I'd say a crowd is a catalyst. But the talent is the important part.
  39. Meidroth 12 game hit streak and 22 game on base streak.
  40. When we made the playoffs with TLR I never really felt we were that good and it was sustainable. I do with this team
  41. This is really very much appreciated given what we have all been through for the past decade plus overall. Well done again.
  42. This is so fun. Trying my best to just take it all in and enjoy it in the moment.
  43. It was always gonna take a couple years minimum given the org was a literal smoldering crater when Getz took over. It really looks like he's hiring the right people and building the right infrastructure. Hopefully he can continue to do so to keep this team in the hunt for a long time.
