  1. God bless America and the White Sox.
  2. Massive game tonight. A win puts us back in a tie for 1st…a loss puts us two games out. Is Burke up for the task and can he give us at least six strong? That will likely decide our fate tonight. Let’s fucking go and happy 4th to all of y’all!
  3. Burke is the only starter with better splits on the road, need him to keep that up and be a big stopper today. Sox are the only team in MLB to not lose 4 in a row, let's keep that goin. Happy 4th everyone! It's a bad day to be a beer.
  4. Lol…this team is a playoff team because of what Getz has done. The positional group is legit awesome. The pitching staff isn’t good, but has been materially impacted by injuries. Our 2025 All Star & 2026 OD SP struggled out of nowhere and then got hurt. The Sox had three top 100 SP prospects in AAA who they figured would be part of the rotation mix at some point. They took on Hicks’ contract to get Sandlin, who they also felt would be part of the major rotation mix at some point. Former top 100 prospect Drew Thorpe and former top 10 prospects Ky Bush & Mason Adams were supposed to be pushing for spots by the second half. Fedde and to some extent were brought in as placeholders to eat innings until the young guys developed. Becuase of injuries to many of the aforementioned guys, we’ve had to rely on these two more than planned. Context does matter and it’s really annoying when fans who thought this team was a lock to lose 90+ games are like “why didn’t Getz build a better pitching staff” and ignore all the factors that got us to this point.
  5. Okay. Need the rain to hold off so i can see them split the series in progressive live tomorrow! Wish me good weather.
  6. It’s an annual routine for Getz. He usually sets fire to around $30 million each offseason.
  7. This will be huge for the boys. So proud of them. Wonderful mentality
  8. Not must win but would make me feel better if they did.
  9. Wegner, as a guitar player/singer, it reminds me of preparing a setlist for a gig, where you try to come up with a lineup of songs that has just the right balance of tempos, moods, etc., and you keep a few tunes in reserve that you can turn to if the situation seems right at some point. (Of course, as a 73-year old, my gigs are almost exclusively at retirement homes, so I'm probably over-thinking my setlists, but what the heck, I enjoy the process.) Somehow today's Sox lineup strikes me as having that really nice balance between power and finesse, with some solid guys in reserve if the situation eventually dictates.
  10. I don’t think the question is “can Burke get it done” as much as it is “can the pen hold it”
  11. Getz basically set 26 million dollars on fire this off season. Dominguez and Hays have been a total dumpster fire
  12. Rockin and a Rollin Splishin and a Splashin Over the horizon, what can it be? Looks like it's going to be....a Sox victory Yay!!!!!!
  13. I would like to apologize for my support of this signing. What a fucking loser…

  15. Burke pitched one hell of a game. It's a shame he wasn't able to get the win but he kept the team in it. They won't get swept and the worst they'll be is a game out heading into a much needed off day. Just a gutsy performance tonight breaking that nine game losing streak in Cleveland.
  16. This division and WC won't be decided until the final week of the season. Margins are that thin.
  17. If the Sox bullpen wasn't so bad on the road, Sox should be 3-0 on Cleveland this series going for the sweep I'll take a split though
  18. Nice win. Just getting closer to Mune being back.

Yea let's not be a ding dong and put this kid in trade talks. K thanks.
  20. If Venable wanted any chance to take a lead there he would have pinch hit Teel.
  21. There is just never a time I want to see Romo hit and it feels like he's constantly coming up in important spots.
  22. I think Antonacci needs to be in this lineup regardless of who is pitching.
  23. Ended up an out, but that has to be an absolute nightmare for an SP to tie up 10-15% of their pitches on one AB. Good job Chase.
  24. Out of challenges in the 2nd. They have got to stop playing so dumb on the road.
  25. Something tells me they're due. Hard to imagine not losing 4 in a row in 2026. Last year was the norm.
  26. My biggest draft question with a week to go. Why is there an assumption that Grady Emerson's ceiling is higher than Roch Cholowsky's?
  27. highest road bullpen era in baseball easily according to the cle crew. just costing us time and time again. we should be 10 over 500 with this offense. these aren't usually 1 run leads they are blowing. we are talking a run an inning type s%*# on the road. era is like 8 or something after the 6th.
  28. Well there does come a point where if you are seriously trying to contend you simply can't keep losing games because of him.
  29. Hopefully on 7/4/26 we can add: Sox beat Cleveland to move back into a tie for first in the division and stop a long losing streak at The Jake.
  30. Brand new day! Let's get back out there and start reversing the fortunes of the last two days!
  31. Kinda hoping we get rained out tomorrow so the bullpen can rest. Split the doubleheader on Sunday and get our asses home
  32. The way things have been going I'd be happy with a single win and 3-4 on the road trip.
  33. Annoying loss but it's just another coin flip game that the Sox lose. They've won a lot of those coinflips too. Just keep grinding it out and you'll come out ahead. I think the Sox have at least a marginal talent advantage over Cleveland but these two losses are tough not because they are losses so much as the fact the pitcher usage is making each subsequent game harder to win. Get some more of those well-hit balls to drop and you'll come out ahead without having to worry so much about the pitching.
