  1. I haven’t watched every pitch this season, but…Sean Newcomb should seemingly have like an 8 WAR, because I don’t know where this team would be without him this year. Just a fantastic signing (I’m sure Getz didn’t even expect this performance)
  2. Today was so fucking massive for letting the bullpen get some rest. Will pay off big. Now if Martin can come back and be an asset that is huge. Would love for him to be first half Martin, but I'll take even 70 percent of that.
  3. Fun time at the game last night. Target Field is awesome. Also happy hour $2 beers $2 hot dogs was great. Make it 4 in a row!
  4. Hat tip to the pitching staff today they carried us. Fedde has been a god send in the 2nd half for a tired staff.
  5. Your first place Chicago White Sox came into Minnesota clearly understanding the assignment, and win a well pitched game 2 to secure the series. 72-63 sets a new high water mark of 9 games over .500. Their current W4 is the longest active streak in the AL. They lead the season series 6-3, and need just 1 more win in the remaining 4 games to clinch the tiebreaker. Huddy recorded a save on back to back days, first Sox to do so this season. Sox are 7-3 in the last 10 games where Fedde has pitched 3+ innings. Miggy has a 15 game on base streak. Newcomb has a 13.2 inning scoreless streak. Both are the 3rd longest active. Benintendi recorded all 3 of the Sox hits today, including a go ahead HR. He's 5-8 with 4 RBI in the series so far.
  6. The Bennie, Fedde, Nuke and Huddy Show featuring all Sox defenders who couldn't hit today Brought to you by Ankin Law ! 8 above was damn easy to crush considering what a b**** 6 and 7 were. (cue the laugh track ) And here's your hosts Schrif & Stoney !
  7. KC being a Royal pain in the ass for Cleveland and I'm loving it.
  8. What they did in that ALCS will truly never be repeated.
  9. Schriff Dawg!! My bad, I thought we were just naming Dawg's 😂😂😂
  10. Clever man, Ron proofing the game thread on a Saturday Night.
  11. CLE loses again. Sox up 4.5 games. Order is restored.
  12. Don't you have a Sunday lineup to worry about?
  13. In a 1 run game in the 9th, with how bad this umpire has been today, dont mind having 2 for the bottom of the 9th if needed.
  14. Kay seems like a great guy. He has a niece diagnosed with pediatric cancer so it's a cause that hits close to home for him.
  15. If you wake me up, I'm going to be so upset
  16. Astros lose as well. We're up 4.5 in the division, 4.5 up for the 2nd seed, and 6 up on the last wild card.
  17. I'm not gonna lie, a 4 1/2 game lead would be sweet.
  18. Also have to give Fedde credit for hanging in there.
  19. They’ve won 11 of 12 not sure challenging their effort is viable.
  20. If we can get Martin and Burke straightened out and along with Kay and Fedde we can win this.
  21. Everyone else is buying tonight for Beni, Fedde, Duke and Bryan.
  22. He will feel obligated to stay when he gets the final out in the World Series.
  23. Except for that one time to end the game and that was glorious.
  24. Vargas was also so bad in 42 games with the Sox that he was worth -1.0 WAR in that time span in 2024
  25. Game thread + attendance. That’s devotion.
  26. Reinsdorf is often cheap. But that’s not the problem here. Fans want to sell the farm for ‘26. They are not going to be reasonable.
  27. I feel like that’s two wins from a team that sees the finish line and is willing themselves to wins! Wow! Great win.
  28. I've been watching some of the videos posted online. Looks like out of an apocalypse movie, crazy.
  29. That video of that first day was something out of a disaster movie, never seen anything like it.
  30. Send down romo. What does he bring that rogers doesn't bring.
  31. Rogers is growing on me. He seems to be a pro’s pro.
  32. Colson is 58th in fWAR. He's a solid starter. If he's our weakest link, we're good.
  33. The team doesn't need a singular "savior" anymore, which is the main reason this season has been what it has so far. I'll happily take "a guy" with 30+ HR power, solid defense on the left side of the IF, and room to grow.
  34. Teams should get 4 challenges per game.
  35. Because they wait for one they will get wrong
  36. Go to robo umps I'm tired of this s%*#. Pitcher can't find zone all inning and ump is ready to give him benefit of doubt in a huge spot. f*** OFF
  37. We don't really have anyone else. Just hope he figures his s%*# out. I'm way more comfortable going to him then a rookie.
  38. Sox keep winning, but Santa's naughty list get updated, Off the naughty list: Colson and Mune On the naughty list: Sox starting pitchers
  39. Kremer vs Kremer Kremer in O's uniform Sox killer Kremer in Twins uniform cannon fodder.
  40. The Reds are one of the worst offenses in baseball. There’s your answer. Castillo has been turrible in all of his other four starts. That’s 1 good start out of 5 for a supposed “ace”. Castillo is headed for retirement, only Getz didn’t realize it. But we get to pay him $23.75 million for next season and he cost us Boston Smith. Sweet deal. This will end up being worse than the Cease trade which is impressive. The Doyle trade could also end up being #2 on Getz’s list of shame. The Cease trade may end up being better than both of these if Thorpe can at least be a #4/#5 starter.
  41. MVPs tonight were Taylor and Colson. KEEP IT ROLLING BOYS!! SWEEP THE CENTRAL!!! And Castillo - you owe us like 5 flipping starts of 1 run ball and at least a couple of playoff wins. Gotta get the starting pitching back on track. Our best baseball is still ahead of us.
  42. Your first place Chicago White Sox packed their hot bats for the road trip and picked up a 7-4 win over the T_ins. They (finally) set a new high water mark of 8 games over .500. CLE (and DET) also lost, so the division lead extends to 3.5 games. Really savvy deployment of the pen to only use 3 arms to cover 5 innings. Castillo didn't pitch well, but he outpitched Kremer and that ended up being enough. With Kremer maybe being the best arm going for MIN this series, you take a win where the Sox never trailed even if it wasn't pretty getting there. Mune's defense was very key to this one with a pair of crucial double plays to match his pair of hits. 71 wins sets a new MLB record for a season following 3+ years of 100+ losses.
  43. We've finally reached 8 above .500. Seems like we've been stuck at 7 for a month.
  44. Let's see if there is a next year first! 🙂
