Rick Hahn a month from now probably: "He's got a checklist. We feel his home run trot is a bit slow still. Sometimes he uses too much water in the home team showers. He knows what he has to work on. "13 points

K. Why not post this in the thread that is already dedicated to the AJ Reed signing?5 points

Greg's village idiot act may be the best (and definitely most persistent) troll job I've ever seen. Bravo greg4 points

You and oldsox both said that Collins is only getting a shot over Mercedes because he was a 1st rounder. That's not true. It's because he's a significantly better pro prospect. Collins can play multiple positions (not at a great level), hits left handed, and is younger. Yermin Mercedes has no position. I can't believe this is even a thing.4 points

This thread is an absolute blast with some legendary hot takes. I skimmed through pages 45 to 55 and here are some of my favorite posts. Good thing Tommy Longo isn’t around to read his “awesome” takes, although One Dog has seemed to take his spiritual place.4 points

Well, this was a brutal first game back from the break. Didn't exactly satisfy my needs for a White Sox game. We slept walked...3 points

Sheets keeps this up, he gets dealt in the offseason. Him and Walker + another OFer isn't a bad package. Under the assumption that they are going to keep Abreu, there's no room for Sheets. Vaughn isn't far behind him so 1B/DH is Vaughn/Abreu.3 points

Jesus dude, just STFU for once. You are almost as bad as FootlongComiskeyDog with your relentless negativity.3 points

You very literally have been saying it for years. You jumped immediately into putting Reed into the lineup but you are like whoa pump the brakes on Robert everyone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯3 points

He looks like he's on track to be ready by about April 20th next year3 points

At what point does a guy like thisbforce your hand? Deal some less important prospects for Boyd or Wheeler, call up a Robert, and let’s get us a wild card slot.3 points

I definitely wouldn’t want any more good players, can’t be too star studded right?3 points

Semien and Phegley, Bassitt and Ravelo for Jeff Samardzija and Ynoa. I'd say A's win that trade.2 points

Well that's ironic criticizing someone for a low batting average in AAA and then asking for Collins. Meanwhile, great catch by Eloy2 points

I wish MLB gave a shit about MILB.tv. It'd be neat to do a quad box (as well as have an app for like AppleTV or Roku)2 points

You are actually suggesting you’d like to see your favorite team punished for making baseball moves that aren’t short-termed focused. People have differing options than me all the time, but never in my life have I seen a more bizarre position and one that’s almost unfathomable to be legitimate.2 points

Collins has close to 1400 minor league at bats. He should be getting regular at bats right now in the Show during a tank year.2 points

Lots of great names/pieces. I think a lot can be said for keeping Leury around to fill RF or as 4th OF'r/Ut. We could do much worse than a versatile, switch hitting .300 hitter who can LO.2 points

I am as excited, as anyone. The future does indeed look bright. However, calm down guys. It was one game. I think Collins hit a couple homers in his first game of the season, didn't he? And now there are those who are ready to give up on him. Let's just see if Robert can continue to excel. As far as going for the Post Season this year is concerned, that would seem to be complete folly. The pitching staff has been completely decimated with injuries. After Giolito and Cease, there isn't anyone who belongs on a contending team. We all know that, even if nights like tonight might help us to forget it. Next year is the year to really be stoked. It is fun to think about a team built around these exciting young players and a starting rotation of Giolito, Kopech, Cease and whomever JR agrees to spend money on, in free agency. I can't wait.2 points

Now I am thinking August 1 go balls out and sweep the World Series.2 points

I hate when people suggest the ole “do him a favor” because a player isn’t given an ideal rope on day one. Teams don’t win World Series by eliminating all their depth so certain guys get more playing time.2 points

10th rounders make the MLB only about 17% of the time. 8% play in the MLB for over 3 years. Why do you think so lowly of Mr. McCann? He's been awesome and is worth exponentially more than that2 points
-
Man, you are selling three good baseball players, definitely 3 of our better players. What a slap in the face to our fans. I mean I know we are tanking but it's bullcrap to trade those three guys. Even Leury has been worth the price of a ticket this season; he's been exciting. LOL on your second line. Nobody's taking any of those guys. If we released them probably only 2 of the four would get picked up. McCann ... he's having a great year, why trade him? It's not like he's Johnny Bench. He's a fine player but nobody's gonna give you much more than a 10th round draft pick type player.2 points

People were so excited to get out in front of the Moncada sucks train to feel smart should he have always been meh. I’ll be the first to admit I was way down on giolito, and was only hoping for a competent major leaguer, but I never got the quitting on Moncada.2 points

Look at some of the CEOs who get 10s of millions bonuses while the companies lose money. I think they are in the same category and they dont have people live and on chat boards calling them names.2 points

It has to be trolling. The Sox have rebuilt and are on the verge of being a contender by trading away their best players and by losing and getting high draft picks. For anyone to not understand this or be able to acknowledge this is either in the single digits IQ or is trolling.1 point

I disagree with that. At FutureSox we use the standard thresholds of 130 at-bats and 50 innings pitched. It doesn't make any sense that Kopech is a prospect still but Cease isn't. They both are.1 point
