That’s the thing though. His style of being excited and positive all the time is better suited for a winning team.
Bringing that style to a bad team with a jaded fanbase is not the best fit.
Retractable roof stadiums too often feel like fully enclosed domes.
I really like how Miller Park/American Family Field has the windows in both left and right field. It really opens it up.
IMO they should simply build around guys who get on base, make good swing decisions, have speed, have power, play great defense, and have impeccable baseball IQ, coachability and work ethic.
Not really sure what they’re waiting for.
While I don’t think they’ll get anything interesting for him, I can understand better teams preferring to acquire him for a lottery ticket prospect later in the season when they’re ready for him to eat innings rather than signing him earlier and clogging up a roster spot when the need might not be as critical.
I understand the concept of needing a body on the pitching side. You need guys to eat innings.
But finding yourself in a position where you “need a body” at first fucking base is so pathetic.
