Sox Calling Up DeLoach
You mean there is a plan?
-
If the Sox ever get everybody off the IL at the same time
To put that in figures, Jimenez, Robert and Moncada have played together in 161 of 558 games since Robert's debut in 2020. And they were supposed to be the core of the championship winning team. It's not just the missed games but also the fact that they are constantly having to regain form coming off injuries.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
I think those are the key words. How many of this bunch, injured players apart, are truly 'talented players'?

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
That series sweep against the Rays seems like a dream, and normal service has now resumed. But at least they are putting up more than 2 runs and avoiding being shutout, so there is some tiny improvement. But with the current pen any game isn't safe.

Getz: Record “frustrating” but rebuilding takes time
If 'steady' is how you describe a manager with Grifol's record since taking over at the White Sox I hate to imagine what Getz thinks is a bad manager.

4/26- Rays at Sox, 6:40, AppleTV
What year?
-
No player symbolizes Chris Getz Player Development like Lenyn Sosa
Or hire Pedro as manager at major league level.... (Even the Royals wouldn't do that and he was at their organisation)

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
This season of futility and negative records would be bad enough if you thought that there was any chance of a phoenix rising from the flames and a competotive team would emerge for 2026 or 2027, but the reality is that once you put out the flames there will just be a paper bag of sh*t on your step.

All kinds of Pedro Philosophy..."Reflect to Learn"
I think it should be "Today we got our ass kicked, again"
-
Who would you pick to replace Grifol? Outside the box answers only.
How about a rolling manager where each person on Soxtalk gets a go for a series, let's face it we all think we could do it ?

4/21 Sox @ Phils
That's what teams say when facing the White Sox.
-
4/21 Sox @ Phils
Mind you he is the only batter averaging over .200 in todays lineup!
-
Fire Pedro Grifol
Equally they might be the only runs the White Sox score for that month.
-
More wisdom from Grifol
I think they tuned Pedro out during Spring Training.
-
AND THAT'S A GREG AIDED WHITE SOX WINNER!
What was the attendance for these 2 games? Where do they publish the figures? I just watched the highlights and the stadium looked empty but for a few hardy souls.
-
AND THAT'S A GREG AIDED WHITE SOX WINNER!
You just know that if the position players start hitting the pitching will fall off a cliff! But we can but hope that a miracle occurs.
-
Add new players? Getz' response - "Easier said than done"
Or "Good players won't come here because this organisation is a mess"
-
Moncada out 3-6 months, Colás recalled
Baseball may be a stop start game but other sports require sudden intense bursts when sprinting, the fact that the White Sox have lost 3 players in 2 weeks doing this suggests poor warm up and conditioning, which is either due to bad training by the coaches or the individuals or both. The fact that all 3 of these players have a history of muscle injuries suggests they are at least partly to blame.

Luis Robert right hip flexor injury
But in all seriousness with his injury record what would 'sell him high' actually bring in? Many on here valued Cease a lot higher than he eventually went for, and Robert has shown All Star abilities but equally has missed a lot of games each season, with the exception of 2023. Is his value to other teams damaged by his injury record?

Fan since 1993
I think that statement could have ended with 'spending'.
-
Fire Pedro Grifol
It was equally insanity to appoint a manager/head coach with no previous experience of managing at MLB level, and who was overlooked by the team he was at (who were the worst in the division) for their vacant managers post when the White Sox were supposed to be in their 'competitive window' following the last rebuild.
-
Worst starts...
Most White Sox fans want a fire lit under this team to burn it to the ground!
-
4/8 Sox @ Cleveland (4:10CT) - Banks vs. McKenzie
By the time of that next solar eclipse in 2044 this Sox rebuild might finally be finished.

Luis Robert right hip flexor injury
What about his work as GM over this winter gives you such confidence? The Cease deal was hardly the 'massive' haul he was supposedly asking, and the team he has assembled are hardly looking good at the moment.
