  1. Swisher's on base percentage I guess has made many fall in manlove with him. I can't fall in manlove with a guy hitting in the .230s. He has had a few hits as I recall helping us win some of these more sloppy games of late which I commend him for. And I think we won the game in which he hit two bombs. Those bombs were nice. I don't understand the love for Swisher, however, but it is certainly out there.
  2. I always was a Garland guy, not Javy. Javy needs to pull his head out and start dealing. Two of three is nice, very nice. But today's pitching matchup on paper was ours to win. Now it's off to Minnie. Time to compete again, White Sox. Anything can happen and probably will in the dome. 4 games? My god. 2-2 would be acceptable. 1-3 or 0-4 would really suck. 4-0 would be ungodly.
  3. Win what? Our division, the wild card or the big prize? If we get in the playoffs anything can happen. Like somebody asked, who are we gonna get? And for whom?? I'm stealing their line, but who do you want who is available and again, for whom? I can't imagine anybody excited about seeing Jose pitch for us again. But how do we upgrade?
  4. Personally I think we should shelve Jose for the rest of the year and try to deal for a starter like some other teams have done. Who that starter is and who we should deal? I have no idea. It's why KW gets the big bucks.
  5. Wouldn't it be nice to see Javy handcuff them for 8 innings? I can hope?
  6. Somebody said they'd gladly deal Alexei. I say, 'Why?' The guy is exciting. Why can't we have some exciting players around for say, five to 10 years? Why trade a find like Lexi??

Sure hope so. That can happen sometimes. Did the fans really boo the Tigers off the field? That is huge. Was it after their final out or after JD homered and the half inning ended. Huge win. It sure would be nice to win Saturday and assure us of a series victory. It's just one game, White Sox. We got two more in Det and four in Minnie. One at a time. Let's win.
  8. OM god. I went to eat and then went running and came back and saw we won! When I left, it looked like Gavin was gonna get raked for 10 plus runs. Dye ... my god he and Quentin have been amazing this season. Jenks gets 'em 1, 2, 3. Very nice. Once again we win a game that started out s***ty. Excellent!! How did Josh look? Go Sox!!
  9. I am out again going to eat. By logging off again that means good luck for our Sox. We need to outslug them and outslop them as we did Texas.
  10. I think starting Fields made sense, but if he sucks all night then Uribe shoulda got the call. That's obvious. Detroit smells blood early.
  11. Wonder if we're gonna have to pitch an infielder tonight like KC had to in the 19 run game. Cmon Gavin, pitch like you did in impressing us earlier this year.
  12. So much for a good start to the series. Detroit is on a roll after killing KC and out to club us. We better have some fight in us. This is ugly.
  13. Could be a long night unless our bats are alive all night.
  14. I see Josh whiffed on his first at bat back in the bigs. Storybook woulda been a dinger.
  15. Hopefully Fields will play and return to the form of last year. Hopefully his bad ML numbers are a result of him being bored down there after proving he could play in the bigs. Put him in the lineup and produce, Josh.
  16. Love your optimism but as you know we've sucked against guys with some bad recent pitching lines. Isn't Detroit's park un-homer friendly? That might be a problem for us. I sense a lot of popups and medium deep fly balls. Hope I'm wrong. I wanna win!!!
  17. Amen, Whitesoxfan you said it all. Those of us who love Paulie and won't boo him admit he's sucking. We're just saying booing him is a sick sick sad act. The guy was Mr. 2005 as whitesoxfan said. Hell yes I'm emotional about him. I won't turn on him. If KW thinks he's finished as well as Oz, then dump him. Booing him shows something wrong in society.
  18. This Det. pitcher has been roughed up lately which usually means problems for us. Let's hope Paulie connects as well as Dye.
  19. If we sweep, I would be thrilled but I think it'd be a miracle. Detroit completely torched KC the last 3 nights, a team we were lucky to go 3-3 with recently. We're going to have to play great baseball to win the series at Det. Then comes the indoor baseball crap. Then KC again. Worst case scenario: We lose 2 of 3 to Det, 3 of 4 to Minnie and two of three to KC to go 3-7. Best case scenario: Win 2 of 3 in Det; win 3 of 4 in Minnie and sweep KC for a 8-2 trip.
  20. But the topic is booing. Walker responded to idiots booing Paulie.
  21. How can you say he's contributed nothing since coming back from injury when as somebody stated he started the winning rally yesterday. I repeat, he sucks right now, but he does not deserve to be booed ... ever. Like Walker pointed out, this guy contributed greatly to our city getting something it NEVER GETS. A WS title. People that boo Paulie who cheered him wildly in 05 are idiots. Sorry but that is the case. Respond to Walker's quote. Do you disagree with that??
  22. That is where I differ from you. Because it was one of my greatest moments, I do not forget the person who provided me with such happiness. I think it says I am an idiot if the same person who gave me joy now is somebody I want to boo. I would call myself an ingrate if I wanted to boo Paulie cause he sucks now. I'm glad my personal makeup does not make me consider ever booing Paulie. Sox should Get rid of him if he sucks; boo him? Never.
  23. Great quote by Walker on booing of Paulie. I'm glad I would never be so stupid as to boo a guy that made me so happy a couple years earlier. Stupid stupid people to boo Paul Konerko. Sign of the times. What have you done for me lately? Sick sick fans to boo him. Dumbasses.
  24. All games against our own division. Sox have great opportunity in front of them. It's pretty exciting what's ahead. BTW, what's our payroll compared to Minnie?
  25. Exactly. The equipment guy or somebody should bring some whipped cream or some pies and put 'em in the clubhouse fridge so they don't get that gross shaving cream in their eyes. Great comeback win. Ozzie, who of course was tossed, gave a great quote in the yahoo sports story: "They never give up,” Guillen said of his players. “They can play without me, but I can’t manage without them.” Hopefully it'll carry over to the road trip. This team may have some weaknesses but it has some fight in it.
