  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 11:29 PM) If you re-watch Melky's game winning hit, after Abreu slides home safe you will be able to see a rare Conor Gillaspie excited jump in the dugout. Look closely or you could miss this rare occurrence Wow I did miss that. Didn't think it was even possible. Gotta find a clip on that
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 11:15 PM) At least they are finally being semi entertaining. And its fun getting the crowd involved with all of the K Zone section and signs. Works well for King Felix and they have a blast with it. Nice to see that we DO have something like that that puts a charge in us, and despite what our record was, is, or will be, can't deny that every time Sale is on board, that you want to be at the game or near a TV, and how disappointing it is when you can't be. Was the same last year with Abreu. Couldn't wait to see the guy at bat no matter where I was. Reminded me of the BIG FRANK days.
  3. Well another thing I noticed is when something good does happen (a great win, a great play etc) everybody is always hugging each other and getting PUMPED.It shows that they do care and are exuberant and happy for each other when good things do happen. One question....don't know if anyone knows the Full answer. I see Melky get a double and drive in a run, he's pumped. I GET the part of the index finger spinning around in circles which signifies stirring the pot that Adam Eaton started, but I don't get the second part. He takes 2 fingers and makes a side ways peace sign over his left eye, and then takes the same 2 fingers, touches his hip and then raises it in the air. Anyone know what that signifies??
  4. Looks like game is on CSN PLUS pregame show is on there now and Cubs game is scheduled for CSN
  5. Was wondering if anyone knows how to get a message to either or all of these guys that THEY will actually open and read instead of a secretary doing the reading and replying for them and without them even seeing it? ( side note..I'm not on Twitter) Thanks.
  6. I'm still wondering if they brought him up when they did, in order to put some added pressure on Danks and Noesi and have them realize that someone is knocking on the backdoor of their jobs, and that if either of them want to keep theirs, then they had better earn it QUICK before our loss column in the division turns into a fiasco.
  7. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 02:02 PM) Scout Seats, baby!!! right behind ya section 130 Hey anybody know what channel on Comcast its on? The forum listed Comcast + but when I go on the Tv it said Comcast AND comcast +
  8. THATS what we need to score runs Our table setters to give us a chance
  9. On another note was nice to see Melky make a nice catch. Can no longer deal with any remnants of the last season fiasco of DV or DeAza misjudge and not catch a fly ball on the run
  10. about time eaton. When he set thee table last year we won a ton. So far this year hasnt done squat
  11. After this blowout and a day off, i am expecting the offense to expldode on Wednesday. the "INNER" coffee has to be percolating, and after a day off from this embarassment, there will be adenalin to murder KC on wednesday. My prediction 8+ to 2
  12. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 03:12 PM) Aurelios is right there with HRI. And so is Phil's, Palermo's, Vito and Nicks....and the list can continue on for a while really. Palermo's is also my tops. I see that you had Phil's (in Chicago ridge)on your list. Yes, they BY FAR do not skimp on toppings. Just an FYI. Little Franks on 79th and Narragnset has a pizza that I always thought was almost identical to Phils. Finally found out why. I heard that they were related, so I asked the people at Little Franks, and they said that the owner of Franks and Phils are brother and sister. So, either way, you'll get pretty much the same pizza. (For those unfamiliar with these places..............when i first tried Franks a number of years ago, I ordered Sausage Green pepper and mushroom. When I picked it up, I thought they gave me the wrong pizza. It had the weight of a deep dish....and by far I am not a deep dish person. I opened it up...and it was the toppings that made that much weight). Definately get your money's worth there.
  13. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 1, 2015 -> 09:29 AM) I thought about going the Samardzija extension route, but I thought this would be slightly more believable, and infuriating for many. Nice, I fell for it. D-uh First thing I said was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  14. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 10:31 AM) http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine..._source=Twitter thanks for posting Was a great read

  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Feb 5, 2015 -> 02:04 PM) Yeah a torn meniscus is going to take longer than 6 weeks. Especially for an older guy. I would expect him to be back in May Plus...its the same knee that was screwed up before that he had surgery on
  18. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 5, 2015 -> 01:48 PM) In 1961 I was in 6th Grade. A pack of Topps baseball card cost 5 cents. I knew a kid who bought packs for the gum and gave all the cards to other kids. LOL why in the world just for the gum? Geez I remember how hard and stale that stuff was. Was also like someone took a cheese slicer and shaved off a few pieces of the sidewalk to put in card packs. May as well just chew on the cards. probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.
  19. About 3 years ago, I was talking to an attorney (an avid Sox fan about 70 years old) about My Sox collection. He told me something that blew me away. He said that he stopped in 1995, but from 1952 (when Topps first started) to 1994 he has COMPLETE SEALED UNOPENED SETS of all of the Topps baseball cards. Can you even imagine the value of those? Mindblowing.
  20. Every year I buy the Topps White Sox Series 1 and 2 and updates to keep my yearly Topps White Sox collection going. I have it complete from 1959 till now (Most older cards are not even close to mint, but got them to complete the collection)
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 07:15 AM) http://m.mlb.com/video/v37188373/buddy-bel...150129_39636747 Takes some blame for pushing Hawkins too fast. Talks mostly about Rodon, Micah and Saladino. Asked if there is a new emphasis on speed in the org...says he still prefers power. Nothing much about Anderson. Nice video montage of Sox rookies. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/107841198/ch...on-as-favorites Another Merkin puff piece. thanks for posting the video. Turned on the TV on MLB network and just missed the interview
  22. can't say MORE than this year, but one of my favorites was 2004, because we were not know for signing free agent pitchers, and at that time Freddy Garcia was the premo that was out there...and we went and got him. I remember that it was pretty exciting that we hooked him.
