Or give away MLB players for nothing. Anyone that believes Getz has the least bit of front office ability is to put mildly is wrong. Only way this makes sense is for StL to offer comp pick or PTBNL to be wearherholt.

There are no financial ramifications to this trade. If there are we need to just fold up shop. The financial side of this deal should have warranted a better return or hold on to the players as tanking is already complete and we do not benefit. This is a horseshit trade and you have to work really really really really really hard to view it otherwise.

Which would be great if winning the AAA world series was the goal. I'll be honest. The only thing I know about him was he was being told to not swing at pitches in spring training for some reason. You don't give away three cheap MLB productive players for that return.

That's the selling point on this deal for you....not that horrible production. None of those players traded needed to be moved as none were making any money. If you don't win the deal you hold on to them. Losing games is not an issue with those guys and there is no draft position in question they are squarely the worst team in the MLB. Getz seems like he would be over matched in a good fantasy baseball league. Someone in the JR family needs to take his keys away.

Was Bummer trade a haul......haul is not necessarily good.

He wants to win with his own rules but he was against tanking so I am not certain he is watching this product and it is sitting well. He wants to be competitive and turn a profit. he is doing neither. Williams was good and that, Hahn was a failure and Getz is looking at historically bad. If Getz truly solid him on something that got him the job, it is not going well. JR is not a fool and if Getz played him for one it may not end well for Getz.

If the value of the franchise is losing money and I am not certain that is even possible, it is impacting him. Being a loser does not impact him. His antiquated rules have always sucked but Getz removed the 2nd place carrot and one of the only hopes I have is that he wakes up....I know the chances of him doing it are probably slim and none but he listened to Getz and bought into a quick fix and not only did that not happen but they are failing at a historic rate. If Getz guy was Pedro they should both be excused.

I wonder if JR has woken up and neutered Getz. The lack of movement seems strange and may be proof that the Williams/Hahn transactions last year and results of this year signal a change. Did the corpse of TLR take over behind the scenes. Going to be longer than the one year now that JR spoke of last year. JR is a horrible owner but he was never one to run this s%*# out there. His franchise is deteriorating and that does not benefit him.

I was always a Dale Tallon and then Hossa signing (no brainer) got them where they needed to be. Then Stan rode his father and the pieces in place to look good. Similar to Jed Hoyer to Theo although Theo seemed to get out while the getting was good. I am an average hockey fan so I could be wrong but that was how it seemed to play out in my opinion.

I think you can build an offense through free agency but it is harder to build pitching (especially JR style) through free agency.
