Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Majority. Jerry holds the final say despite not having the most shares.

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Well, they don't have to sell, but as I am understanding it, I believe their shares will be diluted if they keep them.

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Hasn't it been rumored she technically owns the majority out of everyone?
-
Mike Clevinger is back lol
Doesn't he have a personal relationship with one of the minority shareholders? I feel like I've seen that connection before.

Sox Spring Training notes
I agree. Hopefully it's by another team.

Sox Claim Brandon Eisert, Designate Steven Wilson, Wilson clears waivers
They just could have easily DFA'd him - no one would have claimed him. It makes zero sense to keep him rostered at this point. It isn't like he is some magical arm that hits triple digits.

Sox Claim Brandon Eisert, Designate Steven Wilson, Wilson clears waivers
I don't understand how Jesse Scholtens continues to survive the chopping block after TJ.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Really everything that could go wrong has gone wrong with everyone involved. Cease ended up looking great the 1st half. Thorpe gets hurt (and suffers a setback). Wilson becomes unflippable at the deadline. Zavala struggles mightily. Iriarte lost his 'stuff'. There still plenty of opportunity that some of the returns works out, but I don't think any of them are going to end up the impact-level of players we may have been expecting.

Sox Sign James Karinchak to minor league deal, NRI
Never really been a fan of this guy. Once the league cracked down on sticky stuff he was pretty terrible.

White Sox considering Rojas, Meidroth at SS
It's probably to create some competition. I wouldn't think anything of it. I honestly really, really hope the Sox don't jump the gun on Montgomery's service time clock. Keep the kid down until he is actually ready.

Soxfest back for 2025
I doubt it. AJ wasn't even invited. You can tell like in classic Sox fashion they dropped the ball again, or put forth minimal effort on this event. It's Soxfest in name-only.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
I don't think they have $3M to trade.
-
Sox Sign RHP Jonathan Heasley to minor league deal/NRI
Charlotte needs arms too.
-
Omar narvaez is back to frame stuff
They could alternate between C/DH, with Narvaez providing the occasional spell when one needs a break. I'd be a little surprised if Quero sees action at 1B at this point.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
This certainly is the most logical the plan, with the expectation that Montgomery takes over SS for the long term once they ensure an extra year of control.
-
White Sox are interested in RHP Jakob Junis
I wouldn't hate this. There plenty of innings to go around, and reunited with Bannister could make him a nice flippable candidate at the deadline.
-
Sox Acquire Tyler Gilbert for Aaron Combs, DFA Braden Shewmake
Like a lot of the guys they've brought in, he's throws a cutter. That seems to be a Bannister trademark. I think this is all about the Sox trying to create value out of essentially fringe players, and flip at the deadline like Tanner Banks last season. Low-risk move. You can always find additional Combs profile-players all across the minors and during the draft - he wasn't even in the top 30.
-
Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
This is a very low-risk move. If Bannister see's something in him, then let's give it a chance. Exact type of move Getz should be looking at for the MLB level.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
Couldn't you say it would be more stressful though? He's be the immediate star on the team, coming off the worst record in the history of the game. I'm glad they aren't sitting it out, but I have a hard time seeing this kid not choose a team that is better setup to at least give him the chance at the postseason.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
I doubt Gonzalez even makes it to the majors. If he does it's a bench bat cup-of-coffee call-up when he's 29.
-
White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
Jesse Rogers just said on ESPN 1000 that the Reds made an offer for Robert that would be considered the "B" variety, but the Sox want an "A" prospect in return.

Crochet Traded to Boston
I agree, the injury has negatively impacted his prospect ranking. They're both pretty good though.
-
Winter Meetings Catch-all
That falls on the players. The union is never going to agree to a cap.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
It's not only that - he's worn out his welcome. I have a friend with some decent ties to Philly and had been telling me all season they want him gone. Remember, he was the guy who was caught on camera two years ago saying "I fucking hate this place" at a Phillies home game. I guess it didn't exactly stop there, but now since he actually showed some signs of struggles in the second half they want him out of the clubhouse.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
It's the Cease scenario all over again. We the fans see him as 2023 Robert, but the rest of the league sees him across his entire MLB career. He's arguably a slightly overpaid injury-prone player. Any team willing to trade for him is going to believe they have what it takes to keep him on the field and he hasn't been able to do that at all.
