Vaughn to IL, Sheets up
I also wonder if Vaughn was vaxxed. IMO, all MLB players should be required to have the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination procedure which has proven extremely effective. No reason to shortcut with the J&J , which is not as effective. The shot only take 2 seconds, you don't even feel it, and it's free. Also, IMO, there is no valid political or religion based reason to refuse to get vaccinated. Young , healthy, male athletes might have some medical reason to not get vaccinated but I have not heard of any refusing for those reasons. Most refusers fall into the "stupid people who refuse to get vaccinated" category that the lady I overheard while in line at the coffee shop was complaining about.

Who are the White Sox Rivals?
Cub fans and Detroit fans who come to Sox park for games.

Vaughn to IL, Sheets up
I heard a woman say this on the phone to someone while I was in line waiting to get a coffee": " Stupid people who refuse to get vaccinated.... " I could not agree more.

MLB scouts analyzed Mercedess at-bats and have provided pitchers with a template to counter his approach - both his leg raising 16" softball swing or his protection swing with two strikes. Both of Yermin's swings/approaches provide pitchers with options to get a swing and miss from him. Back to the drawing board for Yermin to counter those scouting reports with a modified approach. Not sure what that might be but one obvious option would be to try to hit off-speed pitches and outside pitches to the opposite field (instead of lifting his leg and trying to pull everything until he is down 2 strikes). From what I can gather from watching his ABs his head is also pulling off the ball as he swings, which sometimes indicates that a hitter is trying too hard to pull the ball.

Classy moves by Carlos Rodon and Jerry Reinsdorf
Sinister, ulterior motives? Really? That is really cray-cray. The entire narrative that "Jerry won't spend the money on player contracts to build a winner" is predicated on the assumption that there is a 1:1 correlation between player salary and winning percentage. It also presumes that other teams won't simply match price and in turn, cause salary inflation which could reduce the profitability and viability of the weaker franchises. There has to be a balance to make things work for the league. Anyway, commemorating outstanding player performances (including no-hitters) with a ring has been a tradition that Jerry established at least as far back as Humber's perfect game. Giolito and McCann got rings for Gio's perfect game. How about Cub Curmudgeon Joe Ricketts and bis overt support of certain extremely divisive politicians ?

GAME PPD: 6/2 | White Sox (33-22) @ Cleveland (30-24) | 12:10PM CT | NBCSC
I agree. My personal preference would be to end games that are tied after 9 innings (or 7 for DH games) by recognizing a tie in the standings. I understand that a lot of fans want to see a resolution of every game, but I prefer a tie than the ridiculous 10th inning ghost runner rule or watching prolonged extra inning games. Play 9 inning single games or a double header with two 7 inning games, and that is it.

6/1 - White Sox (33-20) @ Cleveland (28-24) - 6:10pm EDT - NBCSC/FS1
That was a tough loss men. Forget it and focus on kicking their asses tomorrow. Even if we lose, we still leave town in first place, but it sure would be nice to hold serve with a split.

The TLR Manager Thread
You can complain about EVERY decision in every loss. If this decision was made, perhaps there may have been a different outcome. So what? At this point, the LaRussa trolls have become predictable and their 20/20 hindsight is more than lame. This is a winning team with a winning Manager. Go ahead, complain the rest of the season. JR doesn't care and neither do most Sox fans....especially if we keep winning and are in or around first when the big boys come back in August. I guess some people have made this a cause and almost a hobby, but it only amounts to useless time wasted making oneself miserable. Carry on.

The TLR Manager Thread
DA: This was clipped after the Count was 3-0. Watch the video. He actually looked for a sign before pitcher threw at 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0. Any question about that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdaDRW2NT5w "Take Take Take" was inserted by me, because that could not be heard on the video link, but there is no question that was what happened. I probably could have inserted what Mercedes likely thought..."yea. eff you, thanks for busting me for showing up late for a game this week, you know what, I'm swinging, this is my game" Sorry you have fallen into this camp of LaRussa haters Dick. I say the same thing to some relatives about their politics. Love 'em, but sometimes I just don't get where they are coming from. Know what I mean?
