What about Brett Phillips straight up? 12th rated prospect in the system, close to the majors. Could replace Melky once he's gone.

I'd take either one. I thought Diaz was going to be a target from the Brewers in a potential Quintana trade. He seems to fit the mold of the type of player they're looking for right now.

 

Or else this is another smoke screen and he's, in fact, going to the Cubs.

Of course it's the Brewers. Love everything they've done in their rebuild. Makes sense they'd target the best relief arm likeliest to cost least.

Gotta figure if Rosenthal is saying it, it's been nice knowing you Anthony.

If I was Rick I'd try to expand the deal to include Gonzales and Melky to try to get a better prospect.
