not to change the subject, but the bears are a bunch of stiffs too. so it's

not just the sox.

Spoke with a consultant to the Bulls earlier in the year, and had to laugh at some of the dumbass s%*# going on there.

Cubs have the best chance to do something this decade. Hawks have better ownership at this stage, but their FO is untested and it will take at least 3-4 years to build a SC capable core if they do most things right from here on out.

The Bears, Bulls and Sox need new ownership groups for any possible future success (completely new, not kids inheriting and keeping).

I'm sick of maga Joe Ricketts, his sons and daughter and the Cubs in general.

This is a hell of a trade on paper. Pretty incredible they got 5 players for Bummer, at least 3 of them who could provide some value. Guess we shall see with Soroka though. Shuster seems like the true headliner; imagine he slots into the rotation right away.

With a 6.79 ERA, I'm amazed we got anything for Bummer.

I won't miss him. [

Hate this trade, got a pile of crud for him. Give me one for one and it's a good trade, not a pile of crap.

Bummer sucked lately, but he has a great arm with a high ceiling.

Don't get excited by this.

Way too early, but I stand by me comments

Of course you’re right. Bummer is a useful bullpen piece and we got a handful of trash in return for him.

It’s whatever, it was time to move on anyways but we didn’t get s%*# for Bummer.

If we are grading the trade today,  Bummer has also been trash.

He was 3 full runs worse than his FIP last year, and half a run in his career.  This is who he is.

I mean you can’t really pick and choose which advanced stats count but like I said it was time to move on. Either way, we didn’t get anything worth a s%*# in return was the main point.
