I hope Jerry shows this boy how shrewd negotiating is done.

"You can either take $8mil or head back to college for a year. Your choice, son."

At least one of these other prospects will put on a show this season and provide the Sox with some leverage. Speaking of that, everyone is talking about Emerson, but the  physical projection of Lombard is crazy.

Reminds me of the play Colson made during his MLB debut

Edit: Just rewatched it Colson's was way better

Monty’s catch looked like he had a little better angle on it. The Cholowsky catch was more “over the shoulder” perhaps. Both awesome of course

Make it interesting Lebron. Make it interesting.

His swing ironically reminds me a lot of Justin Upton.  Still not sure how I feel about Roch’s exaggerated inside out swing at times.  I know that’s what they teach at a lot of training facilities now.

They will prob be negotiating with Roch's agent, not the player himself.

Two schools of thought on making a selection - take the best available talent period...or also take the immediate and future needs of the team at a certain position in consideration.  So...the  WSox have quite a few excellent players and prospects that  play shortstop.  Given that, the Chowlowski / Lebron scouting becomes a bit more complicated and interesting.

Always take shortstops

Respectfully, that's what got us Jacob Gonzales.

No, not having an international pipeline, then taking first basemen, 2nd basemen, catchers with known flaws and relief pitchers with the first round pick for years is what got us Jacob Gonzalez.
