Yermin called up, Tim to IL

Recommended Posts

I love having Mercedes to pinch hit late in games where you need one big hit to stay in it.

The one thing that matters this season is health. Not a good start for this squad. If it's worse than 10 days (multiple weeks) they really need to find a true replacement

Mercedes is now the starting SS.

We at least we won't miss a beat defensively.

Really sucks that we have zero middle infield depth in the org

Elijah Tatis.

In all seriousness, between Anderson, Semien, Tatis, Jr. Carlos Sanchez, Eduardo Escobar and Tyler Saladino...not to mention Leury coming over from Texas for Alex Rios, we must have produced more SS fWAR than any MLB franchise the past 5-7 years.

Sucks to lose Tim, but I am happy that Yermin gets at least a cup of coffee in the big leagues. Dude earned it and more than paid his dues in the minors.

Glass half full outlook:

Robert is great in the leadoff spot, which gets the whole offense going, and then Anderson moves down to 6 or 7 when he returns, where he is better suited.

This is a 10/10 Caulfield post.

August 2, 1990- Frank Thomas and Alex Fernandez called up. They were the 33rd and 34th members of the 1990 team.

2020- season is 9 days in and we’re at 35.

Opening day rosters were 27 men in 1990, by the way, because of the lockout.

Hoping I was right with this! Good start.
