The issue is his drop in velocity

I'd say that was the case if Gio wasn't missing bats. He's still missing a ton of them.

If you want to argue that his mistakes are more hittable, there's a discussion to be had there.

No excuses   Non juiced, juiced balls. You need to get better coaches, a manager and maybe a better trainer. All these groin pulls, hamstrings etc. is poor preparing in spring training. Isn’t the trainer supposed to have a plan to get these guys in shape? Also I have also blame the players for their off season conditioning. Regardless of the shortened spring training, come to camp in better shape. We need the baseball version of Phil Jackson and replace TLR.

We need Ron Washington.  Nobody knows fundamentals like him.

The Sox don't need Washington - they need the next Washington.

Greenline, not sure if Ron Washington is the answer but I guess anything is better than TLR. He’s allowing The baseline coaches to take too many chances. He lets players dog it on the base pads. McGuire not running full speed and Mendick running will cost them this game. POOR CHOICES. POOR COACHING AND MANAGER AND MANAGEMENT FOR NOT STANDING UP TO JR WHEN HE WANTED TLR. As big an idiot that Hahn can be, he wouldn’t of hired TLR IF IT WAS HIS CHOICE WITH NO INTERFERENCE.

We have no fundamentals, no coaching, no training, no accountability.  We can’t fire the whole team so TLR has to go.  He is conducting this orchestra and he has failed miserably.  No energy, bad managing, no adjustments, terrible lineup construction, no accountability.  You need to pull the trigger HOF or not.
