Give Rusell some credit. Great slide, front foot hugging the ground going for the field side of the plate. A lot of times runners slide with that lead foot up and it goes right over the plate.

I don't see any way that's Flowers fault. If you want to blame something blame the rules that force the catcher to catch the ball off the plate ( since he can't block it any more) then turn and swipe as fast as you can blindly swiping and hoping to get a runner who can pick and choose how and where to slide.
