  1. Davis Martin went to 6-0 after a Sox loss and Giants looked terrible as the Sox got 9 runs on 5 hits all in 1 inning. Antonacci had 2 HBP in that inning and Mune had a bases clearing double Meidroth had abases loaded walk and Benintendi a 2 run double.
  2. That D. Hill hit was big after the strikeout. Extremely fun inning in an otherwise blah game. Got the win, glad I stayed up.
  3. Another entry in the "openers are stupid" file. And I think that inning is a nice demonstration of how there was no easy choice to handle the pitching. You're going to have to use some untrustworthy guys to work through a game that you only got 3 and change from your starter. Looking like a nice team loss brewing. I'd recommend not losing your minds over it but seems like that train has left the station
  4. We're 4 games away from being 1/3 of the way through the season and this team has the 4th best record in the AL. I don't think the most optimistic Sox fan could have predicted this.
  5. Would be a good day for the Guardians to drop a game. They're down 2 to the Phillies after 4.
  6. They are two games over 500 and in the wild card spot currently. Can't be as bad as you make it sound everytime a single bad thing/game happens.
  7. I think that we start hearing Vahn Lackey more. From what I've heard, it's a potential discount option for the White Sox at 1. Lackey is awesome. If I had the third pick, I'd be debating Lackey and Lombard pretty heavily. I'm just not a big fan of taking a catcher that high.
  8. Damn shame....hope they don't completely collapse. That would be tragic.
  9. The whole internet isn't about you, pal. Maybe let a little air out of your head so you can fit through the door jamb and touch some grass.
  10. What is that strange apparatus Hill and Montgomery are wearing on their face?
  11. Ehh…don’t think I can agree here. He had three top 100 prospects in AAA plus Sandlin and some other arms. We also brought in Newcomb as a possible depth option. Injuries and backwards development have killed us this year.
  12. Yeah, he needs to go. Was worth a shot but didn’t work out.
  13. I would like to see Cleveland lose any time now.
  14. After consuming you’re filled with an overwhelming sense of shame and regret?
  15. Listened to the middle part of the game in the car, basically all of the runs. DJ really thought there was no excuse for 2 popups to drop on Vargas in that inning. Kellenic had a lousy defensive inning when those first 3 runs scored. I really enjoyed Fedde his first time here....I have seen enough of this version. Anyone else available from AAA to take his place? Fedde and Leasure are both giving up too many damn home runs.
  16. What insult did you see there ? Seems like a harmless genneral observation that would apply to any person. Highly doubt he's implying your partner doesnt want you. He would have to know you actually have a partner to do that.

    2 innings for Adams as scheduled. 1 H, 2 K, 0 BB.
  18. Given the lack of pitching depth, I still think they'll struggle to win 80 games at best
  19. Age is just a number. All you need is a BlueChew these days.
  20. You got it, Luk. One of those days where you're just glad to get out of there without somebody getting hurt.
  21. Let’s make SF do what SF do best: Spread their cheeks. Oops, I mean hold onto their butts.
  22. You can't punish Grichuk. That would be demoralizing after everything he's done in a limited role.
  23. Lackey at like 9.5 to 9.75 million would be very fun for further picks.
  24. Well once it was tied you could' ve gone to your better pitchers to try to win this game or save them until tomorrow and your best guys arent available for the 1st game of the division series. My personable feeling is go for it this game and have your best guys rested a day for the next series.
  25. You gotta expand your vocabulary. Its not that funny
  26. Just guessing he’s the next one up you fucking incel. Beat it.
  27. Why in the world would you let him face the top of the lineup again?
  28. Crazy to put him back out there against the top of the order.
  29. The obsession with parking and public transit makes no sense. Firstly, there will be some sort of White Sox-controlled parking. Even the Cubs have multiple lots in Lakeview which they own, and its a much denser neighborhood than the south loop. Then, anyone else who wants to drive and park will have many options from all the private garages and lots in the area. White Sox fans are not as stupid as the poster above seems to think. Also, the comment on the previous page that fans from the SW suburbs will be "less safe" if they have to take the train into the city is laughable. Its actually the complete opposite. How many people have died riding the Metra over the last twenty years vs driving on the Dan Ryan?? There literally isn't a safer way to get around.
  30. You do understand Houser is pitching for the Giants.
  31. Houser is pitching for the Giants. Hudson is opening for tbe Sox .Can't imagine him going longer than an inning or 2. Fedde will follow him. Houser got off to a rocky start but 2-0 in his last 2 starts giving up just 3 runs in 11 2/3 innings against the Dodgers and A's, 2 pretty good lineups. Fedde is 2-1 in 3 career stsrts against the Giants with a 1.69 ERA. The Sox have won 4 of the last 5 games he has pitched but he has no wins. Hicks has a strained lat and Leasure is back.
  32. I collected the data and calculated it. For players drafted from 2021-2024. Since you said you have something different, I collected back to 2013 draft year and it basically looks the same. I threw in HBP rate since Cholowsky is of interest to all of us and he seems to get drilled a heck of a lot. And the minor league numbers are possibly helpful since you have more players to compare to. I wonder whether we might be talking about the same thing with different metrics...if I square all these Rs, it's not qualitatively different than what you're saying. Just changes the interpretation of what constitutes a high number.
  33. Like I always say....if you are only gonna score in one inning, score 9 in that inning.
  34. Sometimes Colson and Mune can chase bad pitches but it’s so different than the last few years when 7 or 8 guys in our lineup would swing at some terrible balls outside the zone. Some of the stuff waaay low and away that Robert would swing at . . . used to amaze me and just completely irritate me. Not watching Robert chase bad pitches is probably the main reason I was glad to see him go.
  35. Also just very impressed by how stubborn and patient we are at the plate. The Meidroth at bat that "drove in" the first run was really a product of this. I don't think he took the bat off his shoulder at all and was rewarded. And because of that at bat, Benny got a coookie on that first pitch. Love how the coaching staff seem to be stressing patience and working the count.
  36. I like this line from the book “Ball Four.” “It’s fun to laugh the winners laugh.”

    Bring him up?
  38. It's such a PR win. Kids of hometown heroes + prospects. Not wanting to take Roch is the definition of the "my steak is too tender and my lobster too buttery" meme. A ton of people seem to assume 1) Emerson will magically turn into a CF 2) Colson, Meidroth, Vargas and Murakami are all locked in here for the next decade. Let's remember that the Sox took Colson when they had an All-Star SS.
