  1. I've heard a bunch of guys in different demographics. Hoping to have a 5 round mock this week. Lots of Thome chatter obviously. Heard they really like Coleman Borthwick but I think he'll be gone. Blake Bryant is a prep righty from Georgia. Curious to see where Jack Slightom or other local guys go. There are a couple college bats that I might put in my mock.
  2. Here's the profile for Vahn Lackey if anyone is interested: https://www.futuresox.net/2026/06/04/2026-mlb-draft-profile-vahn-lackey-wh/
  3. So anyway...Isn't it crazy we might make the playoffs this year? 😆
  4. Well Jerry Reinsdorf is a billionaire and you do ass kiss him so... And yes.
  5. Oops. (Looks like the PCA thread is closed.)
  6. Yet here you are praising Jerry, when this is exactly how he got rich. Hell, he got other people to put up 80% of the purchase of the Chicago White Sox, and had other people build him, not one, but two baseball stadiums in the 1980s. The same guy who was absolutely ready to abandon Chicago for St Pete if he didn't get a stadium build for him by taxpayer funds.
  7. Thanks for the good work. We def got the preferred insider still here after the dustup with Jeep bro. Don't always agree with your or FutureSox' perspectives but it's great free data.
  8. One of these guys believes in fairy tales and the other guy may or may not. Justin Ishbia will be much more useful for me going forward, personally.
  9. You mean like working on buying the future site of the Chicago White Sox stadium? What's Jerry done with his money? Oh right, he only spends other people's money.
  10. Good point, BH. Look at Sam, for instance. Tuesday he was 0-4, and yesterday 4-4. Every outing isn't going to be sensational. But I like the trend that we see, where the guys tend to pick each other up.
  11. Couldn't you just have the boomers complain to bots and streamline the operation? The bot would in turn appease the boomer with back in the day stories, it's a win win. I am an over the hill boomer and I approve this message.
  12. Time will tell. It's early. Cleveland is 5-5 in their last 10 but 12-8 in their last 20. The Sox are 7-3 in their last 10 and 11-9 in their last 20. Cleveland is the better team and has the better chance to win the division. But right now, the Sox are playing about as well as them.
  13. The next 12 games are going to be really tough, if they could win 6 it would be great, even 5 wouldn’t be all that bad. If they are still a couple games over .500 2 weeks from now we have to believe that these guys are for real especially with Mune and Teel still out, if those 2 are back in the lineup by July the Sox can really be dangerous in the second half.
  14. This is especially true for the McCaskeys. To my knowledge their sole source of fortune is owning the Bears and that's it. It's sort of like how so many people have homes these days that are approaching $500k in value. It's not like that means these people have $500k in cash sitting around to buy sports cars and take 5 luxury vacations a year (unless they borrow against that equity, of course). To a less extent it's true for Reinsdorf. Not completely, because he made his wealth in real estate and not by inheriting a sports franchise, but again, he's a billionaire because of the value of his sports franchises. He doesn't have $1B+ in liquid cash sitting around.....though he's no doubt very wealthy. It's just astounding that Sox fans aren't genuinely hopeful at the prospect of deep pocketed billionaire brothers who seem to have a fan-friendly record in owning the Suns are lined up to buy this team. Actually, I think a vast majority (at least 95%) are. It's just a vocal minority (extreme minority) that loudly keeps this inane narrative going.
  15. Hope the boys do something special for Sam after he crushed it today! Love that kid.
  16. This is Soxtalk. You will need to specify the direction.
  17. Wasn’t exactly crucial but I think we needed that win today.
  18. No rush to do anything imo. Just enjoy the ride.
  19. Outscored them 18-15 in the series and could have been more. Offense was excellent. SP came back to earth some and defense wavered a bit, but solid series and played better than 1-2 indicates.
  20. Secondary sale hasn't happened yet. We are doing a disney trip over NYE, plus I will have two kids in college this year, so I passed for now
  21. This team is magic. We got this.
  22. 1 point
Think people just need to get used to the TTO era. The Sox are ahead of the curve here imo. Strikeouts and BA are secondary to ISO and OBP.
  23. I really hope he makes it to 41. I dont think he lasts to 77. Joe Doyle made it sound like he would sign with the Sox for less than what he would be telling other teams his price is. I would kill for a competitive balance pick at this juncture as well. @Y2Jimmy0 You hearing anything on round 2 and 3 targets? Or saving that for your next mock?

Knights put up 11 in a wild top 11... BMont 3-7 with 3 singles and 3 Ks.
  25. 1 point
Wolkow close to passing Bonemer in average. Not sure if that’s good or bad
  26. 1 point
Clutch walkoff 2R double for Wolkow on 2 strikes Had the late gamewinner HR yesterday too
  27. Braden Montgomery - Bee Moe or like the bank, BMO
  28. This is post of the week.
  29. Almost a year ago today, he was up to the same OBP antics in Winston-Salem:
  30. For the Presidents of the Antonacci fan club @ron883 @Look at Ray Ray Run
  31. I beleive in this team. I think they can get in the playoffs. I don't think many other White Sox fans believe in this team yet. Going on ticketmaster it looks like most of the Dodgers series will have big crowds. As of now it looks like small crowds against the Braves. Alot of fans are still not sold on this team.
  32. Great win. Actually sad there is no Sox baseball for 48 hours. Can't remember the last time I felt that. Let's go take 2/3 in Philly and finish .500 on the road trip. Looking forward to Plesac in the booth and the return of the South Side Rally Polo.
  33. Busy day at work. Decided to check and see the score.... yippee!!!! Nice to see that it looks like Gonzalez had a nice game and Fedde pitched well. And of course....Sam is the Man
  34. You have 115 posts in this thread and most of them are you just whining about the 78 location. Please PLEASE focus on the here and now.
  35. Thank god. We've had so many damn pitcher injuries and setbacks. We could really use a boost come July if we're still hanging around and need some fresh arms.
  36. Braden has a wide open path to Chicago if he can seize it.
  37. Schultz is throwing bullpens and should be close to a minimum IL stint. Shane Smith is throwing again too.
  38. We got dudes relapsing more often than a crack house.
  39. I'm confident Bonemer will be a good player. Hagen Smith, not so much at this point.
  40. The 2024 draft might turn out to be a good one if Hagen Smith and Bonemer eventually find success in the majors along with SA. I like seeing later round picks succeed. Antonacci was 5th round. Davis Martin was 14th round (2018). More successes like these can sure give the franchise some much-needed depth.
  41. It freaking stinks. Who the hell wants to be reminded of Jerry with a Sox player’s nickname? Ron needs to go back to the bat cave and reassess this one.
  42. Chairman of the Board is too much of a stretch. Drop it.
  43. Nice job, Antonacci. You have many years ahead of you until retirement, unlike Ron’s horrible nickname for you that should have been retired by now.
  44. Dropped $100 on them to win the division a few weeks ago when it was +2000. Think I mostly did it because I was offended that they had Minnesota +900 but I'm starting to believe it's possible
