  1. It can’t be overstated how big stealing a game Messick started in CLE. Seriously huge advantage in this series. Will has been on fire. Really well managed ballgame. Props to the staff!
  2. What a crazy season. because we have so few examples, it does feel like the 05 postseason where suddenly everything was working.
  3. Just listened to a postgame radio interview with Teel and the LGWS chants were still going (and loud!)
  4. Your Chicago White Sox are through 3 road playoff games and have yet to trail. Remarkable. You can see their confidence growing with every inning. Winning a road start against Messick is so huge for the series. Fantastically pitched game. A gust of wind away from a 6-0 final, which would be in line with the ~6.5 rungs/game output we've seen from the offense since the final 10 games of the regular season.
  5. I cannot believe this is happening I love these guys Taylor an absolute stud
  6. Sounds like pretty bad base running....if you think it is long gone, why are you running with less than 2 outs?
  7. What an incredible win. Listening to the score on the way home from work and why the f*** are they trying to pretend that Lawrence Holmes didn't completely abandon the Sox for a few years?
  8. Sox used fewer arms in a bullpen game than Guards did with their ace on the bump
  9. This is the sort of win that strikes fear in the heart of Jo Adell and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
  10. we complained all year about our pitching development and now we have two young studs peaking at the right time. God works in mysterious ways.
  11. I may attend mass tomorrow as a thank you. lol
  12. This is fun. Mune and Vargas were awful in HOU but both stepped up today, Colson's ABs looked a lot better today, besides the walks the pitching looked great
  13. Those warm up games in Houston seemed to help. Smart move Will.
  14. 2 games are not guaranteed... hopefully there's just one
  15. He used up all the bad sends in the regular season
  16. We gotta stop letting them load the bases after getting 2 outs. This isn't sustainable
  17. I've told this one before: was at a pretty low point in my life. Was feeling sorry for myself taking classes as a super senior in N. MI at some podunk college to finish my (very expensive) degree. Wasn't working, my parents were about ready to kick me out of the nest and I almost got into a fist fight with my dad one day, which would have been the worst idea in my life. The Sox ended up helping us resolve some things and we cried together when they won. A really neat thing and not unique based on all the 2005 stories I've been reading from people here and on X. My dad died not long after that sadly, but I know he's watching from above. He used to leave the TV up loud when it was bedtime so I could listen to the games as I fell asleep. Just amazing memories of him and our relationship with each other and the Sox.
  18. I feel the complete opposite. Benetti seemed like he was a fan but he wasn't in your face about it. Schriffen was too over the top, he wasn't a fan but he was desperately trying to make everyone believe he was. Seemed way to fake.
  19. I didn't notice that. They seemed to have a lot of good things to say about this team. But nothing beats Bozo Berman from the 2005 ALDS for blatantly rooting against the White Sox on a playoff broadcast. Ohhh noooo!!!! Everybody's safe!😭😭😭
  20. The low strikeout philosophy can win regular season games, but EVERYONE strikes out in the postseason. The Guards batters have the lowest K/9 in MLB since 2022 in the regular season. Then they make the postseason and are middle of the pack (11th out of 21 teams, not counting this year), striking out just like everyone else. Their runs/game drop so much in October compared to the regular season, because it's hard to string together those slap hitting rallies when managers are aggressively going to the pen for matchups instead of planning for 162.
  21. Grant Taylor should get the Cy Young award for that performance today, just unbelievable.
  22. Listened to the last inning on some AM station in upstate NY. Had to do some yard work. Love how I went to Wally world here in Rochester with a Sox shirt and I see 4 different people with Sox gear. So cool LETS FUCKING GO
  23. Ah, Leo playing the long game.....I'll join you.
  24. Taylor gonna be our starter next year with hagan😀
  25. @WestEddy 's erection time is getting dangerously close to 4 hours. Somebody call the doctor.
  26. Guards fans booing their own players in the ALDS? Boner.
  27. And here's Kwan, one of Satan's most loyal minions
  28. Pham pimping a warning track shot lol
  29. The walks to a team that wants to do nothing but take walks, are maddening.
  30. Getting them to substitute the lefties is good because that gives the Sox the latitude to bring in their lefty pitchers later on. Our bullpen has more of those.
  31. Messick has one 1 in inning max left at 78 pitches. Absolutely great job by the boys to keep working the count. They need more runs obviously, but its encouraging
  32. Will the real Mune Murakami please stand up . please stand up!!
  33. He slipped. It happens. Doyle was there. He's a very good defensive shortstop.
  34. They don’t want to privately fund the ballpark because that would be very arrogant of them. Soaking the taxpayers for $600M to pay for a stadium shows that Royals ownership cares about the fans.
