All of these nicknames blow ass. Not everyone needs a nickname, especially if these are the best options

(in the )NICK (of time) : MAD RAKE!  ALL(day)!

"NICK, are you MAD?"  -Rick.  Goal!!!

NICK the Murder Gull.

I sort of feel like we're reaching now.

Nick is British slang for jail/prison.

Madrigal is a specific type of song.

Jailhouse Song.

I always thought that Nick meant steal.

I wish it was the 30s and his nickname would just be like "chewy" because he had gum in his mouth when he first came to camp.

It was The Mad King not Mad Regal , like, if he were to win a few batting titles he'd win the batting crown thus he would be KING . 😎

Huhmmm, interesting interesting. It appears the only threads that can avoid backsliding into a McCann vs. Grandal debate are nick Madrigal threads, which backside into nickname debates for Madrigal instead.

One step closer to my unified theory of Sox talk.

Alot of older White Sox fans are comparing Madrigal to Nellie Fox. He is similar to Fox . He makes contact and rarely strikes out. Fox was a great bunter. I wonder if Madrigal can bunt.

There really is no debate who is the better defensive catcher (McCann).  His biggest flaw as of this year is reaching in on pitches and getting the interference call, but my guess is that it relates to him trying to be a pitch framer this year.

Just imagine how bad things would have gone for Giolito yesterday without McCann behind the plate.  We would have lost the game if Grandal started.

It doesn't matter how many other people in the world, including in baseball, have ever been named Spanky before.  That name is perfect for Madrigal.

He's a Piranha of the late 90's and early 2000's Twins.  But Spanky is still better than Piranha.

Nelson was Nellie, then Nicklaus can be Nicky.
