We’re just over a month away from Opening Day so I thought now would be a good time for official lineup predictions. Here is my official guess of what Ricky will trot out on Opening Day against the Royals: Anderson, SS Moncada, 3B# Abreu, 1B Grandal, C# Jimenez, LF Encarnacion, DH Mazara, RF* Robert, CF Garcia, 2B#4 points

If they don't make multiple moves by 2pm tomorrow, I've decided that I can't defend Bowman anymore. Not moving players tomorrow is just fucking unacceptable. 17.5 hrs to jumping on the Can Stan train.3 points

I guess I’ll just say that this isn’t particularly that interesting. If sox like him and think he could be closer, it has benefit of savings in years other salaries rise. If he falls, we are safely in the area where over paying isn’t much of an issue. id blame the bizarre arbitration affinity for relievers for causing this. It’s not going to be hugely impactful, no where near in scale to recent extensions.3 points

He's been my favorite relief prospect seems like forever now (liked him even when Hamilton, Burdi, etc. were lighting up the minors). I'm expecting him to make noise on a callup this year.2 points

I feel like he's going to bounce back in a big way this year.2 points

Zavala is on track to homer every game. Fulmer on track to allow no hits and strike out 2 batters per inning. We unstoppable.2 points

Mazara walks in 7.4% of his plate appearances over the course of his career. Thats double Anderson's rate.2 points

First hot take of the year, but I think Cease is going to have a monster 2020.2 points

For what it's worth...This afternoon at lunch a guy at the next table notices my WS jacket an says "you guys are going to be really good this year." Turns out he was from the Dominican Republic and has played minor league ball in the Toronto organization. A real nice guy. He knew many of our young guys and was absolutely positive we were going to be thrilled with Mazara. He wasn't very impressed with our signing Encarnatcion but overall he said how good our team would be. His impression of how good Mazara would be for us was most interesting to me because he had first hand knowledge. He said that not only is Mazara a good player but also...a really nice person.1 point

And 2 K's. He always had the stuff but he still has no idea where any of it is going.1 point

3 walks in one inning of work? This guy isn’t long for the team.1 point

I'm going through MLB.com. Also we are up 2-0 and unstoppable1 point

Those three spots probably have the most uncertainty at the moment. Grandal will definitely bat 4th or 5th against RHP, but I’m leaning towards 4th for now. I also think Ricky will most likely bat EE behind Eloy to provide the younger guy with better protection.1 point

That lineup looks solid, and it doesn’t even have Grandal or EE in it yet. We’re gonna score so many runs this year.1 point

I rarely say I told you so, but I feel so strongly about Abreu being worth all the money he gets. Watch that video folks. Abreu rocks. I'm glad he makes a ton of money.1 point

If someone wants to complain about giving a reliever too much money, Kelvin Herrera and his 2-year, $18 million dollar contract is a much better target.1 point

In the next couple years, I expect TA to become an elite defender and Moncada to walk a ton. The tools are there for both to do it. They just need to put it all together. Becoming a complete player takes time.1 point

If Crochet is healthy, still in the high 90s, and available at 11 they should take him. They really need a high impact LHP.1 point

It's gonna be fun to see how it all shakes out. I currently have 6 college pitchers going in the top 10 and that doesn't include Ginn (I'm not optimistic) , Crochet or Cavalli. I love Ed but I really want one of these college pitchers.1 point
