  2. are you serious? he was at 68 pitches with an 11 run lead. Nobody in pro baseball is pulling him there. He needed to preserve the pen not his ERA; the trade value is untouched either way. It was a solid start with hard contact last two innings.

  3. I largely don't get riled up about the Cubs anymore, but there's something about him that boils my blood.

  4. And that is exactly why he needs to go. Get rid of the last injury prone headache of that era.

  5. lol it’s hilarious that a 3-run homer suddenly changes his value that drastically

  6. Seems these guys might actually be…developing?!

  7. Houser looking like 2003 Esteban Loiaza...minus the eventually drug trafficking charges.

  8. They should have said he had the runs or something.

  9. Now is the chance to get him to sign 4 @ 10 per!

  10. Boy do I hate to tell you who was in charge of player development during the last regime.

  11. I'm sure people come finger wag this, but Luis Robert has the loudest tools I've ever seen a White Sox player have and it bums me out to this day that they (Robert and the org) couldn't maximize his talent.

  12. The thing is, nobody cares that you dislike Moncada. I’m sure a lot agree with you. It’s just very strange to bring him up unprompted in this discussion, that has nothing to do with him at all.

  13. If only MLB had separate first and second half standings like the minors

  14. Pedro Grifol shouldn’t manage a dollar general that Reese uses as his jerking parking lot.

  15. I think the story everyone's ignoring is that today's outing really hurt Imanaga's trade value.

  16. Teams would rather see him go deep than care about if he gives up a meaningless 3-run homer in a blow out.

  17. Reese jerked that one off, i mean out, like he's been doing it his whole life.

  18. Do some of you really think him giving up a run or 2 in the 7th is going to change his value at all? Cmon.

  25. I'll calm whatever direction that suits me. LOL. Turn off the TeeVee and go for a walk if this team is so below your expectations.

  26. We're 2nd to last in position player war and 4th to last in pitcher war. Calm down. We see some green shoots yes, we are a long way away.

  28. Some guys just look like big leaguers when they get to the MLB. Colson one of those guys regardless of future struggles.

  29. according to our crack play by play guy there is no rush to move him.

  30. i enjoy hearing from the players/coaches, but when they have ppl in the booth too long it can be super cringe

  31. Yep. Insane to announce this publicly. Just say "he is out of the lineup tonight" and let teams think what they want.

  32. All you guys with the "don't be embarrassed" or "not shellacked" or "small miracle", come on guys! Have some faith! Believe! Their guy is 7 & 3 with an ERA of 2.40. House has him bettered in both stats. Also, the Sox have scored 49 runs in six games (is my math correct?). They are hot and more likely to light up Imanaga as the Cubs get to Houser. C'mon; have some faith. And even if you don't feel good about the Sox in tonight's game, on this forum and on this day for God and the Pope's sake, Lie!!!

  33. I don’t see the benefit of putting it out there that he’s out with groin tightness, if it isn’t actually that. Teams already have to be skeptical of his injury history.

  36. Not to mention it is quite literally in there that he is paying off Jerry's debts, and that is what is spending his money on. That and (not listed) most likely a stadium.

  37. Fake news. Read the press release again (paragraphs 2 and 3). https://www.mlb.com/amp/press-release/press-release-white-sox-announce-long-term-ownership-investment-agreement.html Let’s actually be upset at the future owner of the White Sox for not spending money on the team when he is actually officially the owner. Meanwhile, Jerry hasn’t spent money on the team for years and yet you always seem to defend him. Strange…

  38. Brooks Boyer should consider adding a Pope puff of white smoke behind the scoreboard after any home win.

  39. I don’t remember Harold Baines doing anything like Teel did for his first homer. What a selfish prick. </sarc>

  40. I loved Teel's emotion when he crossed the plate on Colson's ringing double. I don't think everybody needs to be a redass, certainly not, but you can't have a molten core of disinterest like with Moncada, Eloy and those awful vets Hahn would bring in every year that were just getting one last big league pay check. I will give Getz credit for bringing in some quality vets and leaders like Taylor and Tauchman.
