  1. Hope he has a terrible day and gets the shits from his cake.

  2. Went to Glendale for 4 days. I actually saw JR pull up to the front gate at camelback on a golf cart. He doesn't look like the 90 year olds i've known. Having lots of cash really helps retard the aging process. At least on the outside. Went to Sox/Cubs opener in Mesa with my Cubs fan Brothers in law. Pretty sweet game. Saw Sox beat the Brewers at the ranch. Camelback really is pretty great. The wife and I might go back without the relatives in a year or two.

  5. I’d say it’s more of a win for the residents who are no longer on the hook for $1 billion in public funding.

  8. I didnt do anything. I merely explained that posting about people being crazy is one person telling a group of people how to act . In the past he's also told us what should embarass us and called people sheep. It's him that did something. If we don't fall in line with his thinking, he feels a need to insult us. That is a dangerous way to act . God forbid that a little bit of winning in ST makes people happy after a few bad seasons and not having seen 3 games over .500 in a while.

  12. It's crazy because it's not like he is in great shape either. Just our luck, Reinsdorf is basically William Shatner 2.0.

  17. Actually it was 6 up 6 down. Braden got the hit off Glasnow to open the 3rd inning. Then the Dodgers took him out and the Tanner Murray 2 run HR came off of Hobbs so 1 run was charged to Glasnow. Murray leading the Sox w/ 2 HRs and has also looked good in the field. A Mead HR ! White Sox 5 Dodgers 4 now 5 Keston Hiura HR.

  19. Sox 9 up 9 down against Glasnow, then Braden leads off against one of the Dodgers starters, with a single. Braden can pitch which is irrelevant except to say that he has a gun for an arm in RF.

  23. Definitely. Plus the 5% increase in the hotel tax if I'm not mistaken. I'm surprised the hospitality industry isn't complaining about that. Jackson Co, Missouri voters rejected a 3/8th cent sales tax for Chiefs and Royals stadium funding. But a 1% food tax for the Bears sailed through the IN legislature. Like others said, if the Bears do end up landing in AH, it'll be a win for everyone. IN working class taxpayers won't see their grocery bills go up, IN elected officials still got to embarrass IL, and the Arlington Park site is a great fit for the Bears.

  24. 67 wins would be around 21 fWAR, but the range would really be between about 19 fWAR and 23 fWAR is reasonable for 67 wins. I have this pitching staff around 8 fWAR and the offense around 13 fWAR.

  26. The score had a guest on yesterday who is a columnist that’s been following this, and he said the taxes and toll raises to accommodate all of this were gonna piss off a lot of NW Indiana residents

  27. I'm surprised there has seemed to be no pushback from Lake and Porter Co. residents for the proposed 1% increase in the food and beverage tax to pay for a Bears stadium. If IL were quickly passing a 1% tax on groceries for Cook and DuPage County residents to give the McCaskeys a sweetheart stadium deal, I wouldn't be happy with that. I'm not going to fault IL officials for refusing to match that.

  28. I like Will, but managers don't usually make or break baseball teams, talent does. I def agree he's the right man for the job right now and he is a good motivator and leader.

  32. I guess. I'm not sure "look at us, we scraped and begged and threw taxpayer money at them...and they still rejected us!" is something I'd send to the tourism board marketing guy. Indiana is to the Bears as the White Sox were to Manny Machado.

  33. It comes down to roster fit. Sosa’s path to playing time is limited because of his defensive shortcomings. Right now, I’m assuming the bulk of his at-bats will be at DH and against LH pitching. That’s just not a huge role. Obviously injury could change that, but even then Antonacci isn’t too far off and will eventually push for a role. Plus the Sox already have Baldwin who is a better option at 3B or 2B. None of this means you should trade him, but it’s hard to see his value going up as a short side platoon DH.
