  2. Back to the time zone thing for Castillo’s debut.
  3. I agree, hi8is. Sure, we lost, but we still didn't lose any ground, and for cryin' out loud, how can we not give this bunch a ton of r-e-s-p-e-c-t for battling the way they did? We should be proud of them.
  4. That dumb send home cost us the game. And it could have been a huge momentum builder had you won it. Jirschele should head south back to Charlotte and not west back to Chicago.
  5. Crazy. Schriffdawg just nutted in his thong.
  6. Way too early to make calls on any of the trade additions. That being said, they need to have a plan with Castillo. Nothing seemed seemed different about him tonight….obviously it’s only been a handful of days. But this idea that a change of scenery will magically fix him up is ridiculous. I don’t buy that’s our “plan”, but we need to see something change soon. Oh f***…I didn’t realize Bart fractured his fucking hand. Good fucking god is that disastrous.
  7. He was 2-5 with a walk. I can't imagine what you would say about a 4-strikeout 0-5.
  8. Murphy gutted that one out…kudos to him for giving his all.
  9. Vargas needed to challenge 2nd pitch. It would have been 3-0 count
  10. Plesac, you've got the middle of the lineup coming up with 1 out. You should never send him.
  11. Thankfully New York hates Boston 😆 If it was the same play / call against the Yankmes - it would have been overturned.
  12. Yes, I noticed the same. I am no Schriffdawg fan but he is much better with Plesac. It probably helps that he isn’t doing games with a partner that hates all humans including him, and would rather only have social contact with his pet dogs.
  13. Anyone else terrified when our 3B coach waves anyone in?
  14. He doesn’t really play consistently and has been totally fine in his role the last two months or so.
  15. By my count, Sox are 14-12 in their last 26. 0-5 vs. Boston, 14-7 vs. everyone else. Would have been nice to have caught them in May or June.
  16. I'm not joking when I say I would rather try Antonnaci there. He's the emergency catcher and Romo playing is an emergency.
  17. Tell me about this utility infielder Meidroth. He looks interesting.
  18. Wow Wong's double had a xBA of .030. Fenway is such bullshit.
  19. I can't fucking stand managing to win tmr in a pennant race. I love Will here.
  20. Just ended a 20+ game on base streak and double digit hit streak, so apparently that means it's over for him
  21. "I'm better than a guy with a broken hand manager said so"
  22. He making Hicks and Taylor not be as sharp as they have been tonight?
  23. Yep, that was me. LaHair went from ASG to Japan in half season
  24. This marks the 32nd time in the Sox season that a catcher has reached base twice in a game

    He's ready.
  26. Boston has gifted us 3 runs this game. You gotta win a game like this.
  27. “Yeahhhhhhhh budddddddyyyyyy…” Right after I gave the guy some praise, he fucks it up.
  28. He just hit a monster single if you didn't notice.
  29. Wong just guessed right on that slider. It wasn't even that bad of a pitch.
  30. Meidroth likely to have a 275/15/60 season at second, and still has his detractors somehow.
  31. That was real close, but they gotta stop challenging so early in low leverage situations.
  32. Guards loss goes final, they are 3-11 since getting Ramirez back.
  33. Foster Griffin 1st start for guardians: 4 innings,5 er, 7 hits,2 hr. Guards are on their 6th pitcher today. Down 13-5. Nice.
  34. They'll be coming in with a taxed pen which can't hurt.
  35. (Full disclosure: I'm related to Sam.) Is it possible that Sam's behavior last evening (whether you agree with it or not) was an attempt to stir things up and get the guys fired up? I do get the sense that they're feeling intimidated by the Red Sox, and very tentative.
  36. Would be absolutely hilarious if they pull off this game and twins and guardians lose again, and the Sox gain another game after getting smacked around by Boston
  37. Boston, just like the last series against them, is the hottest team in baseball. Their pitching has been incredible and they’re seemingly squaring up anything thrown at them. That’s a tough team to beat and will make even good teams look bad. I expect an L today and won’t think twice about it when the sweep is complete. It shouldn’t be used as proof that we suddenly suck or whatever nonsense dumb fans will inevitably throw around. No analysis should go further than the fact we ran into a buzz saw. They just swept LAD before us.
  38. Got my fingers and toes crossed I won’t have to deal with another reported post regarding terrible things. I believe in you guys!

Carlson has reached base all five times. 3-3 with 2 BBs.
