  1. The sox now have the full backing of the Pope and Israel. Nothing stops this train.
  2. Could you imagine if it’s TLR?
  3. Doing well. She got spayed. She hates her head cone. Someone dropped her off in the country and she was malnourished and covered in ticks. We took her in to get her adopted but then she had heartworms. Si we treated her and I am in $1500 now so she is ours. She is great though. Sweet pit boxer mix. She is a sox fan. Wears their colors every day.
  4. Josh Nelson needs to start a seperate Bridgeport NIMBY blog because the amount of time he has devoted to the complaints of a couple local property owners is ridiculous.
  5. Lmao “helping” I’m sure whitesoxdave was the only person who noticed the runner on second wildly waving his arms around
  6. Even if she doesn't, she HAS to be there tomorrow on the organ. Just a no brainer for Brooks and his team to make it happen - hope they did. Also, seen this floating around today, but if they revamped this video and brought it back the park would go fucking insane. I get goosebumps still watching the old version.
  7. Hopefully Pham takes him out.
  8. When I meet new people, I typically ask them who they voted for before I decide if I should continue talking to them or not.
  9. Thome in a Sox jersey to troll Cleveland fans
  10. I actually absolutely love talking to other Sox fans around me at a game or even just around town. And I also love that I know nothing about that person's politics, etc and that we are just bonding over something that we love. Maybe that is too simplistic of thinking, but I don't really care.
  11. Not anymore. He's a changed man since getting out of prison. Reformed.
  12. Don't tell me what he hit....tell me where he hit it.
  13. I can't wait for Pham's parade speech
  14. I was only asking for them to give you a physical beat down, not edit your post.😜
  15. Eddy, the fact that I'm Sam's great-uncle admittedly makes me both partial to him and defensive of him. But with that acknowledged and understood-- and in view of the pretty harsh nature of some of this evening's comments regarding his play in left field-- I think it's fair to point out that Darrin Jackson, on the radio broadcast I was listening to, said that 1) Sam made the correct decision not to attempt a diving catch on DeLauter's hit, given the specific game situation; and 2) Sam's presence of mind in realizing that Doyle, on Adell's hit, was getting too close to the wall to be able to play the carom, and Sam getting over there to grab it and quickly get it back to the cutoff man, may have saved a game-tying inside-the-park Adell home run. I know Sam's certainly not perfect, and I know that negative comments often get put out there in the heat of the moment, about pretty much every player, so I'm not complaining. But I think the point of view of a former major league outfielder ought to carry at least some weight.
  16. Gene Honda: "Southside, Stand Up! Now throwing out the first pitch, your BUDDY, John Schriffennnnnn!"
  17. Its bad juju for a mod to edit the gamethread made by the reigning gamethread champion.
  18. The White Sox on the season are now 88-78. They finally made it to 10 games above .500 .
  19. I can't wait to get to the park, I can't wait to tailgate, I can't wait for this game to start. Sweep these assholes!
  20. All valid but can you please tell him to just stop wasting challenges?! ;-)
  21. Williams has great stuff, but 0 wins in 5 starts against our Sox this year. His last 3 in particular have been remarkably similar: August 8th: Guards up 2-0 to start the Sox half of the 6th. Mune solo HR, then Miggy reaches to chase Williams. Sox string together good ABs against the reliever and leave the frame up 5-2. September 14th: Scoreless tie to start the Sox half of the 6th. Beni single and generational AB from Peters to chase Williams. Sox string together good ABs against the reliever and leave the frame up 6-0. October 6th: Guards up 2-1 to start the Sox half of the 6th. Miggy reaches to chase Williams. Sox string together good ABs against the reliever and leave the frame up 4-2. Different LHP relievers each time (Herrin, Holderman, Sabrowski), same result of flipping the game. Meidroth with the favorable matchup came through with a key RBI hit from the 8th spot in all 3 games. Thinking back on yesterday's game...Sox had 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs after Sabrowski faced his minimum 3 batters in the 6th. Would Venable have called on Taylor to protect the 1 run lead in that spot? Pretty decent chance I think. Smith instead pitched the 9th with no lead to protect. Kinda interesting that Sox have seen the opposing closer in 4/4 games, but never when actually behind.
  22. Go Sox go, go Sox go, hey Chicago whatayya say, the Sox are gonna win today (tomorrow)
  23. I do hope to make some friends here and next year, as it often happens, at the last minute I cannot go to a game so I know there’s a lot of people here that would love to go to the Rate Club, even at the last minute, so we’ll see what happens. I will be at the game tomorrow and I can’t wait, the place is going to go crazy.
  24. Please end this tomorrow so we don't have to deal with Messick and possibly Williams again. I am worried they are hyping up the crowd so much and they are going to come out pressing
  25. Soxtalk is def one of the best communities for any team pro or college. It's been one of the very few forums that has managed to stay relevant in the reddit and discord era. This year was a blast with all the winning, welcome.
  26. MJ. Let him be part of eliminating a Cleveland team yet again.
  27. He posted a tweet with the article rather than the link to article directly - the twitter stuff (and some other stuff youtube/etc.) automatically embed, others don't.
  28. Not too simplistic at all, Wegner! It's a shame that more people can't have a nice friendship or acquaintance despite political differences.
  29. From what I know Josh Nelson lives in Bridgeport and I think Its fair to say he's against the Amtrak project in Bridegeport. Most White Sox fans don't care about the Amtrak project in Bridgeport and I think that the overwhelming amount of fans of the White Sox are in favor of the new stadium in the South Loop.
  30. ron, were you dropped on your head as a child?
  31. Another one. Maybe they will start airing Sox playoff games on CNN
  32. Karma for the bullshit homer in Boston and the missplayed ball by Notch that was a normal fly ball.
  33. In 2005 me and my father went and saw Rolling Stones at soldier field, and it was an amazing show, even moreso now that he is deceased. Sharing those moments is important
  34. I think what’s really fueling me during this postseason is that the Sox are handling two teams that are and have been their boogeyman teams. Houston was bad for most of the season and they took 5 out of 7 from the Sox, and honestly looked good doing it. Cleveland has been the grim reaper so many times in my lifetime, it’s hard to remember when they weren’t that team. just an incredible show of a team, they have just figured out the little things on the way of this season, and now it seems like every correct button is being pushed
  35. I heard this game weather will be terrible if anyone wants to give up their tickets, I am ok with weather being bad.
  36. No, can’t stop this train now. He is rolling with gamethreads
  37. The Sox are currently: +170 to win the American League +750 to win the World Series. I'm going back to bed I'm definitely dreaming
  38. All the more reason to hate Cleveland.
  39. Nope, your title is wrong — NOW I think you are crazy.
