There was a guy on these pages that developed a spreadsheet to track the success of the rebuild trades.  It was around 2017.  I would love to find this spreadsheet and see what happened. It can’t be good.

I believe that might be the same fella that started this thread, @bmagsis known for wild goose chases

I can’t believe this list is making me pine for the days of Avisail Garcia.  Yikes.  For all of the s%*# Hahn has thrown out in RF, Gavin Sheets could be #2 on this list by summer’s end.  If that’s not the biggest indictment I don’t know what is.

I looked up Avis stats and, boy. You can tell Kim Ng came from the white Sox. Great signing.

Back to back games in San Francisco, a few weeks before being traded to the Bay Area (Oakland).

2 Run first inning HR on August 12 3-2 Sox win.

The price to pay came the following day with a Dunn error. Sox were up 1-0 heading into the 7th, but San Francisco scored 7 in the bottom half including 2 on Dunn's error with no runs the remainder of the game,

Hoping Billy Hamilton busts a move and gets into the Top 24, and also makes significant strides spelling Luis Robert for much needed rest (3-4 off days a month) with plus defense while he is out.

Derek made most of the major calls including this one before stepping down when 2022 Spring Training began.

It would be fair to see how she does calling the shots over the next few years with full authority over baseball operations (with Caroline O'Connor overseeing business operations) and working with a limited payroll ($92M / 23rd).

He's not much better at 2B.

Wasn't the DH spot from Dunn through LaRoche through Alonso a net negative during most of Hahn's tenure?

Also had to be bottom quintile in the majors offensively, along with RF, 2B and maybe 3B.

Going from Crede/Uribe in 2008 to Moncada's 2019 at third base leaves a similar trail of carnage.

And the funny thing about RF is that Eaton did have that one high value 2016 that eventually ended up with one of the three key rebuild trades.  Avi also had ONE now clearly anomalous season statistically...but almost always inconsistent and/or injured.

Adam never did all that well in CF... his RF arm was always a lot more accurate and took better routes off the bat typically.

Then there's not developing our own front line starting pitchers or catchers either.

Also, for a long time after Danks (technically a Ranger for McCarthy), Daniel Hudson and Hector Santiago were the only starting pitchers produced internally and Jesus Pena the best Dominican player for at least a decade...Eloy doesn't count there as he was an external add and not original signing.
