South Side Hit Men

8/27 Chicago Cubs @ Chicago White Sox 7:10 PM CDT

I know the Cubs are a borderline AA team (Ricketts >> Jerry 🙄) but this Sox lineup is just relentless.

Jose is a hit/RBI machine. What a pleasure to have him on my favorite team.

Keep it up Sox, first five innings have been nice.

To be fair, we went from 1-4, 3 LOB to 5-11, 5 LOB. Locked it in!

No Goodwin, Mendick, Seby, Collins or Lamb in the lineup helps along with none of our stars resting tonight.  Only lineup issue was starting Keuchel

I can't believe Eloy didn't swing at any of those pitches.

There is nowhere to hide when this lineup is back to full health. Mediocre pitchers like the Cubs are throwing out tonight have to thread such a needle not to get pummeled like this.

It's remarkable that Robert can look so good at the plate given how long of a layoff he had. What a special player he is & will be in the future.

Him opening up his stance has done him a lot of good so far.

And now add Adam Engel. It's superfluous, but his OPS crushes Leury's.

He’s laid off several pitches tonight he would have swung at as a rookie.  Very encouraging

Seems like the Cubs give up double digits every game. They traded mostly position players, right? Was Rizzo their best pitcher?
