  1. The accredited doctors in this thread are great.
  2. At what point does Yoan give up on batting lefty?
  3. This team easily could have been 7-0 if they caught about 4 baseballs
  4. If 6.1 WAR over the past 2 years fucking sucks, then yes, he sucks.
  5. Herrera. Colome. Dont make it difficult
  6. I'm of the opinion that managers don't really matter but Ricky is very bad at the one thing managers really matter for
  7. Madrigal leading off and Moncada hitting second ahead of Eloy and Robert is going to be so much fun to watch.

First Palka creates a profile here to brag about himself and now Madrigal. Badass

Boston still wins the Sale trade in their eyes regardless of how Moncada and Kopech turn out. I'm happy to have them as a part of our future though.

Wait, he thinks Yolmer will improve on .048, and HE is the troll? Come on man.

All the people, living life in peace?
  12. Didn't get to watch the game today, but the calls for Moncada's RBI are glorious. Anyone who says Benetti doesn't love the Sox isn't watching.
  13. My life is now complete.
  14. This needs to be a recurring joke in all the postgame threads this year
  15. Would love to see Burr develop into that 7th inning guy.
  16. What’s the deal with that there Yolmer Sanchez? He has looked absolutely terrible at the plate
  17. He just doesn’t have reliable offspeed stuff at this point to make up for bad fastball command.
  18. Need to reenergize this game. Here is a throw back to earlier
  19. Lol, welcome to the Omar Narvaez experience Seattle fans. 6 pitches in the zone today already called balls for Kikuchi.
  20. Robbing a HR that's going over the wall is a little different than fielding a routine ground ball..
  21. The Soxtalk mantra from 2010 to today. ?
  22. In 2005 we were projected to finish last
  23. If Colome and Herrera are solid, and Fry/Ruiz emerge as solid bullpen pieces, you can squint and see a contender. This whole division is down right now. They should jump on it.

As I said, I would have left him alone. Renteria sucks at his job. This is nothing new, and it won't change.
  25. Potential star player has a big day (Yoan) and i buy a ticket. Star player good. Fans come when star player hit. White Sox brass take note of this

This was my immediate connection when we drafted him. Couldn't think of a good way to make a nickname out of it, but I did suggest that WSD put that logo on a T-shirt. As for a nickname related to it? "Little motor"?
  27. His most likely outcome is a guy who went 40/40 twice? And his high outcome is the best player in the past 50 years? Yeesh, setting that bar high boys.
  28. You just got done saying that a Mike Trout comparison was "good"
  29. Looking forward to this , sensible time
  30. There will be good days and bad days, but performances like this are small indications the White Sox are on the right path
  31. I made exactly that case in this article. Forgetting the moral or legal aspects, I tried to illustrate that it was just plain smart business to invest more in their future players.

For his first at-bat once he's called up, he needs to stroll to the plate in a top hat and cape. Then when he gets his first hit there's just a puff of smoke and a rabbit is standing at 1st base.
  33. So a 6 WAR player? I mean, I guess I'll take it.
  34. You're god damn right, pal.

His family owns the conglomerate from Breaking Bad!
  36. Get in line. Me and @ChiliIrishHammock24 have been on that bandwagon. Haha. Good to see the ol' prospect heads back at it here. You can definitely tell the regulars around here.

    Is Noberto Martin taken?
  38. Love to see these performances out of Robert and Collins. Can’t wait to see what the guys in Birmingham can do tomorrow!
  39. Well he doesn't have a higher ceiling than Mike Trout.. because, like, Mike trout has possibly had the best start to a career in baseball history.
  40. I honestly have a hard time saying Robert has a higher ceiling than Moncada and it's meant as nothing negative about Robert
  41. I think Moncada and Robert are kind even based on position, but Robert has a chance to be a 40-50 HR guy and Moncada might have a couple seasons in the 40 range. Robert has stupid power.
  42. So excited for minor league box scores!!!!!

If we could all agree on which player excites us the most we would all have matching jerseys.

I have never seen a crazy lightning rod for hate and love for a high draft pick like Madrigal . You compare him to Nellie Fox and I saw a post a few days ago calling him a 2nd to 4th rounder who plenty of people dislike because he has shown little pop in his limited time in the low minors. This thread should be fun. Grabbing the popcorn.

Ruiz. And then Santana gets replaced by Keuchel.

Quick look at Plate Discipline Metrics 2018 vs. 2019 from Pitch Info O-Swing% - 22.2% - 16.7% Z-Swing% - 62.0% - 69.2% Swing% - 41.1% - 42.0% O-Contact% - 45% - 57.1% Z-Contact% - 80.0% - 85.2% Contact% - 70.1% - 79.4% So he's actually only been swinging just a bit more overall, but he's way up in swinging at pitches in the strike zone. What's most comforting though is that his contact percentage is way way up. If he can keep an ~80% contact rate going forward then RIP rest of league.
  48. Every time a list comes out that doesn’t gush on our guys, this board calls it stubborn or tears down the writers credentials. You don’t have to agree with their evaluations, but they are well-informed, well-thought our opinions based on a combination of industry sources and first-hand looks, and they have the resumes to back their opinions up.
