Dude I was just kidding but of you need to know... They can do no wrong. And your the biggest suck up. Lol. Again dude just busting your chops.7 points

This is exactly how you would avoid the Cubs fiasco they have going on right now with their core.6 points

The White Sox should not care one bit about a game just because it's on television.6 points

This one hurts. I'm not convinced that Abreu would be any better than Yermin this year5 points
-
I caution folks that as this team starts getting good again, there will a lot more attention and fans coming out for this. And with that, a lot of extra dumbness.5 points

It seems like these guys really like each other and he, very obviously, enjoyed that they extended Abreu and said so... and said he wanted to show/have same loyalty. At some point, the culture being built deserves at least a very tiny bit of credit here.4 points

Even if the 9/$171M figure is true, that’s only $19M a year for a guy who will be in his prime for pretty much the entire contract. Sign me up for that.4 points

If you assume he agrees to a six year extension, here is how long our positional core would be controlled for: Abreu = 2022 Grandal = 2023 Anderson = 2024 Moncada = 2025 Jimenez = 2026 Madrigal = 2026 Robert = 2027 Vaughn = 2027 That would be absolute insanity.3 points

The Sox haven't drafted a HS pitcher in the first round since 2001 and with such an incredibly deep pool of college arms I don't think this is the year to change that. Draft one next year when they will presumably have a later pick.3 points

White Sox twitter up in arms about Ricky's spring training lineup. lol3 points

Keith Law thinks Nick Madrigal is a regular but doesn't believe in the profile. He thinks he is David Eckstein basically which is why he's not ranked. He didn't even have him as a top 20 draft prospect in 2018. These are some stellar write-ups on Luis Robert, Michael Kopech and Andrew Vaughn though. Law has always been the highest in the industry on Kopech and that hasn't changed. He never wavered on Lucas Giolito either and that has paid off.3 points

Even odds that Yermin would outhit Edwin this season2 points
-
Well maybe if you didn't have a history of saying ridiculous things about Abreu, people would take you as more than a joke. And I'm a Yermin fan, but it was one AB. In spring training. Abreu has 4K PA of a .860 OPS.2 points

To an extent. When you look at the biggest contacts the White Sox have ever given out, it's pretty embarrassing.2 points

Could be a World Series preview. Not sure about the Dodgers though.2 points

So if this does happen, only Giolito would be the lone major FA after 2023 (unless you like Lopez too).2 points

Would also put the offseason grade to an unqualified A+ imo2 points

I LOOOOVE how Vaughn immediately sprinted out of the box instead of watching it. Can't teach effort.2 points

I will be travelling to Greece this year for the 5th time. I have traveled a fair bit to the Greece, in particular the Greek Islands and Athens, however this year i will be starting in Thessaloniki, spending 4 nights there. After this, I have 7 spare nights, before I have to be in Mykonos. Seeing as I can't find a direct flight from Thessaloniki to Mykonos, I was thinking of making the drive down from Thessaloniki to Athens, where I would then go continue on to Mykonos either by ferry or plane. Should I rent a car in Greece? Can anyone recommend any towns or cities along the way that are worth spending time in? I'm aware that its only a 5 hour drive but I would like to break it up a little, seeing as I have a week to spare.2 points

The Sox could literally win the World Series and that guy would still find a reason to complain.2 points

It's not bad business when you take care of your own; I would argue the exact opposite. I think it's bad business to exploit your workers and let them know you're doing it. You get Kris Bryant level fall outs between players and FO when you do that. We have all had this argument plenty so there's no need to rehash, but service time exploitation is against the rules and the Sox should stop doing it immediately.2 points

furthermore there is a SCHEDULE that every player is on for their workouts. Some guys will need to get in there, get their 2 PAs, and then go do their lifts or data session or trainer session or whatever. yikes. Some folks are really ignorant and looking silly this morning. The games are FAKE guys. They don't count. The only thing that matters is being ready opening day.2 points

Plus, Madrigal is probably going to be lower in the lineup in the big boy games.2 points

League circles and Sox twitter tell me this is the opening day lineup.2 points

While I wouldn't bank on Not Steve Cishek, if anyone can lock up Moncada this early, it's Hahn.1 point
-
Me too. Didn't he also say we were going to extend one of our relievers? I could be wrong.1 point
-
Which bodes well for Hahn, who I think has been entering the season in hopes of adding first round HS talent for at least 2 years now...Couldn't pass on Vaughn and Madrigal1 point
-
I think he is the FO’s #1 plan going back a year, hence Mazara. Adolfo having a big year all but guarantees 7-8 straight championships1 point

Don't disagree with you, in fact I want Kjerstad as well, but what's the thinking here? That a bunch of good arms will leave good bats available at 11?1 point

Not trying to be a dick, but are you actually insane? There is no Bears fan more guilty of this than you. Like I’ve had to do four takes to ensure I am responding to the right person because there is no way Jack Parkman could have written the above post.1 point

If b****ing and moaning for not spending money on bench pieces is where we are at, things are looking very good for the Sox this season.1 point

Ortiz criticizes Fiers and calls him out; people act shocked. Ortiz is a proven and known cheater himself - of course he doesn't want teammates blowing whistles on cheating scandals.1 point
